Dang, i used to watch a parody about this in youtube...
There was like a spa and disco full of pikachus in teh pokeball...
Yeah, thats all i can remember...

Lol watch Robot Chicken Pokemon

Lol. But I don't really know. They sleep?

Lol, I had that video on my profile. "I wonder when you'll shut up and make my dinner" XD

Anyway, I think the inside of a pokeball has 17 different enviornments, obviously the 17 enviornments are made to suit all 17 types of pokemon.

Anyway, I think the inside of a pokeball has 17 different environments, obviously the 17 environments are made to suit all 17 types of pokemon.

But how does this happen? I mean, obviously, some balls are more suited for other pokes than another, like a Heavy ball is more suitable for a Steelix than a Jumpluff. But how is the environment inside a pokeball defined? Was it predetermined from the time when you bought it?
(In that case, I would love to see how a Tropius with the Solar Power ability would act inside a Fire-type environment-ball :P)

The other option I that I finds reasonable about the environment-thingy, is that the balls does change with the pokemon caught inside. But how can they do that? It is already impressive enough that they might convert pokemon into energy from monsters, and opposite, but isn't that a bit too much to require for a ball which costs 200 pokecash-stuffsies?
Perhaps a luxury ball would act like this..

What no one seems to explain, tough, is what happens if the ball misses and hits a human instead. It must say something about it somewhere, right? :D

I don't see the "I stop caring because this topic has been talked about a hundred times and there is simply not enough information to support any of the theories." choice.

maybe every trainer has it's own town inside his/her pokeballs and they socialise in the town it ain't a world but it is different wherever they go

looking abck on some of the posts here why must we bring science into it? its fiction it dosn't have to make sense so don't say it contradicts itself please =D

i agree with Bamachi, there has to be some kind of environment and maybe a warning when they are about to be summoned because they always seem ready. Like sometimes b4 they send them out, they give the pokemon commands that they seem to already know about and do them as soon as they're out.

THe Pokemon probably just sit in there until they're called upon.
Nothin special. :/

Also, I dont think so. There has to be something in there. If i was a pok?mon and that was all in there. I would be just like Pikachu ("DONT PUT ME IN THAT MESS")

I remember i thinl when they were showing the kanto region, they had a commerical "Ever, wonder what happens when a PKMN is in it's Pokeball" The good days.... I forgot what they said.

Never mind, I found it out myself, thanks to Bulbapedia. And if someone else actually does ponder upon this strange question, I quote:

If a Pok? Ball is used to try and capture a human, the human will get electrocuted instead of being captured.

But then, why is ten year olds allowed to carry potential instruments of death? *flinches*

^--- I think that only applies if humans try fooling around with the inside of a Pokeball or something...but..it's just a game.

I think the un-awakened state makes sense, but also the Pokemon simply going into a sleep makes sense too.

I think they fart in the pokeball so no one can smell the farts outside...

Wow, that's a pleasant thought, thanks a lot for sharing that with everybody. But from now on, you need to tone down your posts to a more appropriate level; I've received multiple complaints about your posts so far. If you continue to be inappropriate like this, I'm afraid it's going to result in a warning. Consider this a verbal warning.

I think it's a long-term period of sleep....Yeah, I have no clue lol.

maybe they slow time inside the pokeballs so the pokemonahve time to recover after long fights?

Or maybe the pokeball has a portal in the inside of it that is activated when a Pokemon returns to the pokeball. I know! There sent to candy land through portals inside the pokeball! It makes perfect sense!

I always just kind of thought they went to sleep. The possibility that it could be like a private beach club or something also crossed my mind, but... well, you know... =P

If anything, it has to do something with the pokemon being able to rest well. Nothing else crazy outside of those lines.
