Hey guyssss! well the thing here is that I'm an ex player and collector of pokemon TCG and I stopped at the second gen xD so my question is, whats new? xD like whats the lv. for? why are there some SP stage 2 or 3 pokes? whata the EX, legend and all that for? how special are them? I bought a Drill Point desk, 3 boosters, 2 darkrais(cyrus) and 2 mamowines(I cant remember the name of the ice gym leader frmo sinnoh). I think they are okay to start over since they wrew realyl cheap!
anwyays, Id really appreate an honest answer and I hiope someone can help meh! THANKSSSS =D

Well, on most cards, the level's there for decoration, unless it's a Lv. X card, which "Levels Up" from a Pokemon card that has the same name as it, without the "Lv. X" at the end, of course.

SP Pokemon are basically trainer Pokemon that function as Basic Pokemon. They therefore have lower HP than they're Stage 2 and 3 counterparts in the regular cards, but have cards that specifically only work in decks that run SP Pokemon that are very powerful.

Pokemon ex were cards that evolved from a Pokemon of the same name, without the "ex" at the end of the name, of course.

I don't fully understand how Legend Pokemon work myself, yet, as they kinda seemed not worth trying a deck around to me.

And, when someone mentions a Pokemon Prime, that's basically just a really good card with more HP than that Pokemon typically has and a special foil design.

Also, for the next season, which starts in August/September, the only sets that will be tourney legal will be Majestic Dawn and newer, so you really only need to focus on the newer sets if you want to play competitively.

Did this make any sense to you, or did it all go over your head?

Also, if you have more questions, ask! And it may be worth noting that attacks have become more energy efficient, HPs have gone up, and having drawing power is much more vital than it was in the early days.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY THNKS A LOT!!! =D Im palnning on getting some rares cards soon so I can trade! do you know how rare is the darkrai? how good is the deck?
