Excuse the lag/slowness/errors.. v2

I just tried to upload an animated .gif file as my avatar, but the forum converted it to a .jpeg, with no animation. :(

I have uploaded animated .gif files before, so I am wondering if this problem is one of those error you said we might be encountering, or if this is something totally different.

So, in other words, the server died out on us again.

...I suppose that the veteran members should be getting used to this by now...
 
not exactly.. it was a bad drive to begin with.. just after running enhanced tests did they decide it needed replacement. so we replaced it..
 
if you want animated gif's host them on a 3rd party site.. when you upload to PC, it'll convert them (and possibly resize them) for storage..

This was a while ago but I wouldn't survive if I had to register again!
