In several months ago, I was almost on the verge of losing interest in Pokémon gaming, even though I'm still enjoying its anime and all, because lately I feel like I'm doing the same thing in post-game all over again, that I considered to restart my Pokémon X that time. But then, it's something that I don't want to do because my precious Pokémon are all there, that I don't want to erase all of them from my memory (not to mention the link with Pokémon Bank and Game Sync), so I'm having a thought, what if I decided to get a new game, as in, Pokémon Y, instead of deleting the save files?

So, several weeks ago, I managed to get Pokémon Y, and as I'm starting fresh in my Kalos playthrough, I find myself enjoying revisiting Kalos once again. From catching a handful of Pokémon in Santalune Forest, revisiting the joy of making Trainer PR Video, seeing the Prism Tower light up with my friends, and battling with my in-game neighbor to get Mega Ring, among others... All of these experiences are becoming brand new for me, and this makes me enjoyed visiting Kalos a lot more than it was on my first playthrough in X. Thanks to that, I started to enjoying Pokémon all over again.

When I played Pokemon X and I my character kind of felt like that Shauna has a crush on him. Right now, I'm getting friend safari pokemons and other horde hidden abilities. Today I caught a Unnerve Houndour and I should find Harvest Exeggcute, Unnerve Arbok and Steadfast Scyther.

I'm also looking for friend safaris too.

I remember Lysandre who pretended to be good but he is evil after wards. Then I suddenly forgot Xerneas's battle background until I watched my brother playing Pokemon X.

I remember the release of the three starters on the official Facebook page. That was the first time I had truly been excited about a set of starters since the days of Red/Blue. The reason was that, like the Kanto starters, I thought each first stage was incredibly adorable and without previews of their later stages, I was truly divided. Before playing the game, I was initially a 'Team Froakie' person as I decided to choose by siding with my favourite type.

The night before I went to collect my order in store, I decided I would choose Fennekin. Unfortunately my overexcitement and impatience to get started meant that I gave up trying to reset for a female and chose Chespin instead for my first play through (a decision also in part influenced by my desire to have Charizard in the team). As you can see, no clear favourite stood out as it has done for me in previous generations. Whilst I waited for the arrival of my game, I spent days agonising over this decision and visiting the 'meet the starters' page on the official site.

Despite enjoying my play through with Chespin, I never felt truly satisfied or bonded to my starter. Shauna was kind enough to trade me her Froakie but this didn't excite me as I thought it might have. I realised what was wrong, I should have persevered and started with Fennekin. So, I put my Pokémon in the bank and restarted the game with a female Fennekin named Waverley. Since then, I have enjoyed the game so much more and Fennekin's evolutionary line have become some of my all-time favourite Pokémon. This is my experience with XY, one defined by indecision at the time of the game's most important decision. However, all of this made me realise that Fennekin was the right choice for me. :)

Pokemon Y is probably the game I got the most out of. It was the game that got me into breeding which lead to my first pokemon that was useful online. It also completely drained the energy out of me as I played it for 28 hours until I beat the main story during the first weekend it was out so as I was fighting the champion I wasn't entirely sure if I was awake or not.

I recall the moment I watched that video where Iwata (R.I.P.) dropped the announcement of X & Y, and literally everything blew me away with the new full-3D graphics. All the Kalos starters were interesting to see when they were first unveiled, where Froakie (who I eventually chose come when I got the games) started as my least fave of the three, and I think Fennekin was my fave.

Thankfully, a lot of my opinions (such as the aforementioned Froakie) changed for the better the closer the game release got, thanks to a lot of new features and Pokemon getting announced in the months leading up. Sylveon fast became my new fave Eeveelution, and Fairy-types were always something I wanted to use, and eventually I had Sylveon be a true MVP of my X team.

Not my first main series games by far, but X and Y were beautiful game and I lot more, well, fun out of them then pervious games :)
The story, especially the Looker quest after the main story, I really loved. And was an amazing thing for a main series Pokemon title. I loved seeing my Pokemon in 3D, felt like Colosseum in a handheld at that point <33
Makes me really want a Z, so I can go 'round one more time and choose Frokie.
