Experiments [PG-13]

Aura bit down on her lip. He was right. She was a traitor. But she was trying to protect them both, wasn't she? She sniffled, and realized she was crying. She took a step back.

"I was trying to protect you." she said, taking another step back. "But you know what, I don't care anymore! I am sick and tired of caring! Nobody cares about me, so why should I care about anybody else." she didn't even stop herself for crying now, or shouting.

Drake hardly listened as he babbled on.

"Listen, Experiment, you don't know what you're talking about. I was in the same position as you back there. I don't know what happened with your grandparents, but I didn't kill them. I was taken from my home, just like you were. If you want to vent your anger, do it at something that matters."

Drake was rather please with himself on his response. He was prepared for an attack if he chose to do one. He saw Aura crying. He felt bad for some reason, he didn't understand why. Why did he care?

He looked at her and said,"I did care about you. You was my friend, I mean I almost died trying to protect you more then protect myself. I hope you have fun, though, who knows he might let you live."

Luphen then turned to Drake and said,"I know you didn't kill them, but I do know you are the closest I can get to them. But if you don't know then how about you die now!" He slammed his hands into the ground making ice come up from under his feet. When this happen wolves started to jump out of ice and rush towards Drake.

Drake watched as he summoned wolves of ice. He had the advantage of dealing with snow before, and knew how to counter it.

With one look back at Aura, he muttered silently something he has never said before, "I'm sorry." With that, his hands began glowing yellow and sparkling. All at once and with intense speed and harshness, he sent two lightning bolts straight at Luphen's wolves. Drake thought to himself, The causing electrical pulses, at enough voltage, could cause a burning sensation, almost like fire. And Ice can't do much against fire.

And the fight begins...Hehehe...

Eric watched the fight from the tall building nearby. He tried not to make noises as Aura would hear him and warn Drake. And he wasn't planning to get caught...for now. Nobody could find him, and it would be stupid and rash to come out at that moment. Just like back at the diner.

Which reminds me...I still didn't retrieve my bag...Bah, whatever, I can steal another one anytime. Let's just sit back and enjoy the fireworks!

Aura just stood there, steadying her breathing. She didn't say anything. She didn't do anything. She couldn't do anything, not yet. Drake could handle Luphen if he had to. She knew that. But if she had to, she would help. She could fight, only physically, but she could fight. It might get her hurt, but if she had to do it, she would. If she had to fight Luphen to protect Drake, if he needed the help, she would. If he asked for her help, she would help, without giving it a second thought. But for now she just waited.

Drake saw the air current aimed at him. He found it better to take the hits than attempt to move against air itself. He took the two hits, clinging to his chest, which was bleeding a litle, and using the momentum of the air to power his thunder for a split second, sending two lightning bolts at the two clones he began to form. Drake then powered two more lightning bolts, but instead of sending them seperately, he combined them into stronger lightning. He fire this one at Luphen.

Luphen put a ice shield up, but still took most of the damage. So then he made two ice swords appear in his hands as he made six other float around him. He then used two more clones to fire air dragons as he ran towards Drake with the blades. Shooting two blades at a time at him and then making them reappear.

Aura was getting tired of just standing there. She wasn't about to watch Luphen hurt Drake, no way. She needed to distract him, and she needed to do it now. When she saw Luphen send an attack at Drake, she growled. She'd had enough of this.

She walked up to Luphen, this time extremely angry. This had worked once before on Eric, maybe it would work on Luphen. So she kicked him as hard as she could, then she pushed him, hoping it threw off his concentration.

Eric continued watching the two superpowered humans fight each other. The only thing is that he stopped grinning and thinking sarcastic comments. He looked more deep in thought. He was planning what to do once the two of them had beaten the hell out of each other.

I have to think about the future...

Drake took the two air attacks again. His chest hurt even more and blood came out of his mouth, but once again he used the same tactic to build up his lightning bolts. Instead of firing at the incoming ice blades, he held the lightning in his hand, finding a better tactic for them. His hands sparkled with electricity as he broke through the incoming ice blades. He charged at Luphen and before he could get a grib on his ice blades again, pulsing electricity through the new ice swords. The resulting shockwave spread across the swords, and onto Luphen as well as long as he held them.

When she kicked Luphen his swords fell. He looked up at her madder than he has been since he seen his dead grandparents."Die, Aura!" He said as he grabbed he leg and started to freeze them then, he sent two ice wolves straight at her.

Drake saw the attacks going straight at Aura, and his body instinctively moved on his own. He took the two wolves attacks. The wolves bit as his body, and as they did electricity flooded their bodies, and they dissapperated, but they did their mark. He had two bad injuries from them. Nevertheless, he went for Luphen again, determined to bring him down.

Eric watched as Aura kicked Luphen and frowned.

That's the same thing she did to me when I was about to kill that electric guy...Not only she's a traitor, but she doesn't seem to be a big fan of fair, one-on-one matches.

He thanked his mind for telling him to go solo.

It doesn't matter though...I'll be done with both of you when the time comes. You, Sparky Boy, for trying to kill me. And you, Aura, for selling me out.

He then saw Luphen freeze Aura, and grinned again.

Aura had fallen down, kicking Luphen's hand off of her leg. Half of her leg was frozen, and it was starting to go numb. She bit down on her lip, and closed her eyes. This was all her fault. Drake was hurt because she couldn't take care of herself. Luphen was attacking them because she left, because she couldn't take care of herself. Everything was her fault.

The ice attack was fast, and he had to act fast. He didn't have much energy, but he summoned just enough to enhance his hands with electricity. The ice attack was caught in his hands, and evaporated, but he still took even more damage. He looked back at Aura for a second, wondering if she managed to pull through from the ice, before realizing he needed to concentrate on the battle.

Come on, kid...Finish them... Eric thought as he watched the fight looking really excited. For a second, he felt like it was the best time of his life. But then he shook that thought off his mind, as that time was coming soon.

Oh, I so enjoy watching peasants die...It's very...soothing...
