Extending the Pokemon name limit?

I've searched for a while and found no answers on the wiki or on here, so sorry if this has already been answered lol

Is there a way to extend the Pokemon names to more than 10 characters? I get an error whenever I try and run my game with any Pokemon with more than 10 characters in their name (Fletchinder in particular...)
