Yes you both can join. You two do know its double battle only correct?

and maul which fc do you want me to put down? and can I put all three down for donation for our shop?

Oh okay, I won't be able to join, sadly, as I was set back in my game. Best of luck with this

I saw a while back. Just didn't want to spam your gym anymore.

Yes. Maybe do something to make it seem people really want to get style points. Maybe saying its an event. Its IV bred, or has perfect ev's something like that. and maybe list what you have for each one.

So if you'd do it like this

Regular Pokemon: 50 pts (list some normal pokemon meaning a lucario, weavile, pikachu, ect.)
IV Bred Pokemon: 500 pts (list some iv bred pokemon you have)
Ev Trained pokemon: 1,000 pts (some ev trained pokemon you have)
Events: 500,000 pts (Then list some of the events you have)
Shinies: 150 pts (then list some shinies you have)

I really have a problem with the bolded. I know I'm a
quiet voice in this thread, but I'm just suggesting that the bolded
doesn't really have anything to do with "Style", let alone "style points".
If I may, I'd like to suggest more "style-related" ways to judge pokemon.
You should divide the ratings into groups like below, and mark it out of whatever
as if you were marking a test. For each thing they do, they get a checkmark
in that area, and then you total it up out of a given number.

Novelty (NU) Pokemon? (Check)
Smart/Cool Combinations? (Check)
Shiny Pokemon? (Check)
Event Pokemon? (Check)

Those are just a few example. I didn't mention IV or EV or anything since
that's more of a strategic area as opposed to the stylish battles you're
aiming for. I'll explain the listed sections now.

Why should they get a point for Novelty/Never Used pokemon?
Well, They're novelties! Seeing them in-battle is a rare-sight
indeed, as opposed to the common Porygon-Z's and other
overused pokemon. This should be more of a bonus point, since not
many people can pull off the other marks with novelty pokemon..
Smart/cool combinations are pretty much self-explanatory.
If the strategies used are unique, original, creative, and clever, they
deserve a point here. An example to get awarded this point would be
to do something like Politoed + Vaporeon, where both pokemon use
surf and the Water Absorb heals each other, since Surf hits your partner
as well. Shiny Pokemon and Event pokemon are basically for
aesthetic purposes, like shiny pokemon looking cool or Event pokemon
being rare or whatever. It's kind of obvious when you give them a point
for this area..

Anyway, that's just a few of my suggestions. I hope you take them into consideration
so this Gym could be set apart from the rest based on the fact that the rating system
is unique. Also, I'd love to apply to be a gym leader. I need someone to teach
me on the basic rules of Gym-Leading, however. I'm very new at this..

Oh, if I apply, I have to stick to 1 type throughout the team, right?

Thats not a bad idea. I'm sure BZ is on his way fixing the shop and adding more to what you said.
I'll teach you the basics of being a gym leader on vm. Don't want to spam it up on this thread.
And no you don't need a type in this gym.Only for EGL. But if you'd like to have a type then only use 3 of that type and the other 3 whatever you want to unbalance the type disadventage you have.

whats NU?
examples please
Never used or what everone knows them by is UU's
Did you ever find out your FC?

To be more precise, NUs (Never Used) Pokemon have very little
to no competitive-battling stats, while UU has some decent move pools
and stats, but nothing outstanding. With that said, OU's are the pokemon
with above standard stats (most stats peaking above 300) while Ubers
are Legendaries + Wynaut/Wobbuffet and Garchomp.

According to *smogon.com link removed* (Pokemon strategy site), there are
6 Tiers (7 if you include "limbo," w/e the hell that is).

Uber
Overused
Borderline
Underused
Neverused
Not Fully Evolved

Uber is mainly legendaries. Overused pokemon are ones that you'll
often see in strategic, EV-Trained teams. Borderline are pokemon that
are on the "iffy" side. They have good stats and a nice move pool, but
nothing really unique. They're usually filtered out by comparable pokemon
and they have an inferiority complex. Underused are uncommon
pokemon that have a few niches, but there raw stats aren't capable
for the OU Environment. Neverused are pokemon that are completely
and easily destroyed. There's nothing really good about NU pokemon,
except for the novelty of using them. Pokemon that fall into this category
are the likes of Farfetch'd and Beautifly for example. Limbo is.. well, I guess
it's where the pokemon could fit between UU or NFE. Not Fully Evolved are
pokemon not at the final stage of evolution which has some competitive value.

I hope I described it properly.. Anyway, I'll join. I would have joined
as a water gym leader, but that's taken. I know I don't have to choose
one type, but I want to play along with the rules of an in-game gym...
By the way, instead of sticking to types, could I do the section of
pokemon, ie: Eevee Evolution line or Johto + Sinnoh starters or
Reptile pokemon, etc?

Do whatever you please for being a gym leader. Just no sort of cheating.
All i need is your FC your gym name and if you want to give a donation to the shop.

I want to challenge someone, is there anyone here I can fight?

Did you read the rules? We aren't open yet.

Ahhh i know but dam, its so boring right now, And I want to battle. sorry for the intrusion

Don't worry. I won't cheat my own rules :P
Also, I don't think I have any GREAT donations...
I could probably catch a beneficial-natured pokemon
like a Modest Gastly or something, but that's about it :P
I wanna keep my EVd ones just in case.. If I have any
unnecessary ones, I'll donate them.

Right now, I'm planning my team for the gym battle.
Is it okay if it's 2v2? Not as in double battles, but only
two pokemon vs two pokemon? Or maybe 4vs4..
Hmm, I don't know. But can I make it a set-amount of
maximum pokemon?

My idea for the theme is already planned out..

Sure, sign me up as a gym leader or something.

What concerns me is how this 'style points' system works. Explain that and I'll be happy. Also, what do you define as 'no haxing'. If you're referring to Serene Grace + flich-enducing move...that's a really stupid clause. It's a perfectly valid strategy, and with all the steel types around these days, it doesn't have much life anymore, since it's either Togekiss with Air Slash or Dunsparce with Headbutt.
