An introduction to your project
This was a pokemon mmorpg started as my graduation project (i am a computer engineer). It was getting very popular known as PokemonCraft. But after Nintendo lawyers DMCA i had to shut down game and convert it to a unique and all trademarks belongs to me and respected artists Monster MMORPG game.

At this article, on behalf of Monster MMORPG, I would like to present to you A New Spin On Pokemon, complete with Original Monsters and a true MMORPG-Feel. This game is guaranteed free to play, forever. It isn't a fan made game, so rest assured that it's different from Pokemon in all the right ways. Most importantly among these is that it cannot be shut down by Nintendo like other Pokemon Games out there because we don't use any of Nintendo's Trademarked & Copyrighted material.

So what is Monster MMORPG ?

Monster MMORPG is a free to play, browser based, full scale MMORPG game with development driven by our player base. Currently, the game is being developed by Furkan Gözükara (M.Sc.) with the help of volunteer players and artists. Check the credits for more information.

The game started as a free online Pokemon MMORPG but was taken down for a period of time and converted into Monster MMORPG Version 1. We kept the Pokemon style game play, but are no longer infringing on Nintendo's copyright. While Nintendo drags its feet on making an online Pokemon MMORPG, we continue to add content and build onto the base of our game. We have since moved onto Version 2, with a cleaner interface, NPC challenges, and many more features on the way! The game is continually improving.

If you are familiar with Pokemon style games, you will have no problem getting started in Monster MMORPG.

We currently have:

• More than 1,200 Monsters
• 18 Unique types
• 3,000 Different attack moves
• Over 200 Monster abilities
• 100 Monster natures
• A Unique Values (UV) system (similar to IV values in Pokemon)
• Training Points (TP) system (similar to EV values in Pokemon)
• NPC Trainers to battle
• 19 Arenas, each with a challenging opponent inside
• PvP battles

Each Monster has a unique ability pool and upon capture, they get 3 random abilities from this abilities pool. With the addition of UV, TP, Nature and Abilities no two Monsters are exactly the same.

Monster MMORPG is also one of the few browser-based MMORPG games that fully supports live PvP battles. We've thoroughly tested the mechanics out, so you and your friends can battle online without worrying about 'sleep hax' or other insane exploits seen often in Pokemon-esque games.

On the main game page, you'll notice we have a large chat box to keep in touch with the other players. (Not to mention our Private Messaging system!) Our chat supports 32 different country channels.

Quick Gameplay Hints

• Keep pressing w,a,s,d or arrow keys or the navigation arrows at the game screen for moving fluently
• You can enter Monster Center (It has Monster Center signboard) for healing and setup your team, and Monster Market(It has Shop signboard) for items and buy, sell, trade monsters
• From navigation menus at control panel you can set your avatar, overworld sprite and change your starter monster
• While battling, lower your opponent HP and throw monster box to catch it

My opinions about your game, well some designs aren't really pleasing (for me) and you copied Pokemon game's systems for stats/evolution etc.

thanks for feedback. we do not have copied pokemon game's system. we have our unique system but similiar. about theme yes i am having hard time to find volunteer artists :(

659 monsters? That's... ridiculous. How long did it take to do make/draw them all?
Also, you've still got some Pokémon leftovers. I spy several obvious Eevee evolutions and a Banette evolution. Still very impressive.

thanks a lot for feedback. believe me 659 is nothing. i am going to start adding thousands of more very soon. the hardest part of adding new monsters is generating move sets. We have gathered about 2000 moves. When this moves are complete i am going to code a software which will generate moves randomly according to the monster's power. And also they were ready. There are countless ready monster on DeviantArt to be added my game :D i only need to finish that move generator software and get permission from the artist

Also about those Pokemon leftovers i disagree. They may resemble but resembling or style is not copyrighted :D

Is tis one of those annoying online ganes wjere you have to press the stupid on-page arrows to move around one by one animation?(Like press the up arrow,it just looks like it jumped ahead,no walking animation like real pokemon games just the crppy one.)

If it is,I really don't see how this differs from any of the other games similar to this.I mean,you might have different fakemon but the system,"live" PvP,and movement's pretty much the same.It gets real boring playing games like these,I just sign up and play for a couple of days before quitting.

Seems neat, if a little generic. I really like your monster designs! And what you've done so far with the code/layers of battle system is really impressive! It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

One suggestion I have is that you hire a professional website designer; the layout you are using right now is frankly eye-hurting, with clashing colors and intrusive advertisements, which would get in the way of enjoying the game.

Also, it looks like english is not your first language, is that correct? I suggest getting someone to write out your english-language descriptions because I find the site kind of confusing and hard to navigate.

Flavor text would be like the Pokedex entries. They would basically just tell a little about each monster.

Example:

Masgras tends to forget where it stores its nuts in the winter which leads to many territorial disputes with others of its kind.


Basically they would just be a fun little thing for people to read about each monster.

thanks a lot for feedback. i suppose you mean Nintendo threat. well if they happen to bug me i will remove those monster or item whatever immediately from the game. or replace it. So i don't see very big risk :)

I noticed a bug that you might want to address. It seems that the option to use items in battle disappears if you have no monster boxes so if you run out of monster boxes that means you also can't heal with potions in battle.

ah i see. people were reporting this issue but did not give me any details. thanks a lot. if you need any monster in the game i will give you as reward :)

Well I didn't really report the bug to get a reward, but since you offered I would really like a Clowbea. I like it and its evolutions and it seems like a decent water type which I need for my team. My username for the game is the same as it is here in case you needed to know. Also I wanted to make sure you received that first batch of flavor texts I sent you.
