Simple, basically the biggest mistake you've made in any game.

I remember a few years back when I wanted to restart Diamond and just deleted my save file, then realized later that the save file had my the only 3 shinies I've ever had on it. Whoops. :(

I was doing catch event on PC, I realize I encounter shiny oddish during horde battle and it killed by accident and big whoops such chance was ruined =(

    >wanted to power up Gengar
    >released Gengar instead

Luckilly still had tons of sweets so I could still evolve my weaker Haunter instead. But his moveset isn't really as great (this one had Sucker punch/Sludge bomb, which is good, but I felt better with the previous one's Shadow ball/Shadow claw) and now I know that I'm screwed if the opponent has a grass or steel mon(considering most grass mons in gen1 are part poison and are neutral to it). I the proceeded to power up my Fearow like crazy so my gang could (possibly) have another chance against Grass mons, but the steel problem is still a thing. Fearow does have Drill run as his other attack, but still.

Back when I sold White version, thinking I had all my good Pok?mon on Black, only to find out I was wrong. Not directly in game related, but it was like all those years went to waste training and trading those Pok?mon over and I stupidly released them along with the game :(

Back in my original Emerald save (which had like 700 hours on it), I was duplicating Pokemon and items using the glitch at the Battle Tower (I think it was there anyway) and a glitch happened and everything in my boxes was deleted, bearing in mind I had completed the Hoenn Dex, I was literally heartbroken and had no option but to restart my save :(

Sold all of my Gameboy Cartridges. All of the Cartridges Blue, Gold, Red, Silver, Yellow. Don't remember why. I think that's what makes it worse.

The biggest mistake I've made in a Pokémon game in recent memory was Digging myself out of the Cave of Origin in Alpha Sapphire, from the bottom where Primal Kyorge was. I intended on getting Net Balls or Dusk Balls, but when I went back into said cave, Kyorge was gone, and the rain wouldn't stop. To add insult to injury, I saved after buying those capture balls, which meant the rain would never stop, and I ended up having to erase my save that I had and start all over from the beginning. I don't know if the above scenario causing the rain to be permanent was a deliberate design decision or if it was a (game-breaking) glitch that I exploited that has yet to be reported on.

I had sold my Blue, Yellow, the three Generation II games, plus the first Stadium in January 2006, as part of my unsuccessful attempt to get away from Pokémon. I've come to regret that decision at times, but after finding out about the Game Pak's save batteries dying, especially on Generation II, it was probably for the best at that time, but I've partially made up for it by purchasing the Virtual Console releases of Red, Blue, and Yellow for my 2DS as part of #Pokémon20.

That blows, but at least there's Pokémon bank, right? That glitch sounds like a total bummer. You can't progress the story without it, right? Total chunks.

Yeah, hooray for the 2DS! I'm so glad I am not alone! I though about buying the original games, but I think I'm still going to wait a bit before doing so.
