Fake or misprint reverse holos?

I ordered some individual cards on amazon, particularly a bunch of reverse holos. I noticed something strange about two of the cards I bought. A deerling (8/124) and a sneasel (60/114) had holo all over the cards.

• the sneasel was the only card i bought from a particular seller.
• i bought 3 other cards from the same seller i got the deerling from. they all had a normal reverse holo pattern.
• everything, besides the holo pattern, says to me that the cards are real. the holo pattern (which is to say, yes, it is a vertical linear holo), including the darkness and grass symbols on the background, are correct. the back border doesnt blend in with the other blues. the cards are made of anti-counterfeiting cardboard (the thin black line is visible on the side.)
• the holo where it actually would be is a lot more intense than everywhere else.
• all in all, it looks like theres an extra layer of holo stuck all over otherwise real reverse holo cards.

is this a misprint? did someone, for whatever reason, add extra holo onto the cards? is this actually a normal thing? i tried to post images, but it seems that i have to have 5 posts before that? i can post the links to the images with spaces in between, if that's fine.

alright! didnt realize there was another way to post images without the links, ahah.

I didnt realize until i posted these that the last 2 images are kind of (very) poor quality. i can take the pictures again, if needed? the sun was shining right on me.

Here are some retakes of the comparison pictures in a more neutral light. Does anybody at least have ideas on what could be going on?

Edit: itd probably be useful if I actually uploaded the images.

Does this help any? I can't manage to get a good picture where the holo on the border and picture are BOTH visible, but the cards both have holo everywhere, with extra sheen where holo would normally be in the first place.

I emailed the seller of the deerling (sharp bros, if thats any help), and they said they get their cards straight out of the packs, so hey.

Edit: okay, got a good picture of the deerling, finally. Notice the duller sheen on the border and picture.

Another edit, I'm just on a roll today: The seller told me that all fates collide cards seem to be printed that way. I just thought that cards would never have holo all over them, based on the research ive done on fake cards? huh.

Okay, so, after some research after figuring out what you were talking about, it seems this mirror foil thing is something that happened with some print runs of Fates Collide, particularly those affecting packs that wound up in booster boxes, and almost never from packs that were packaged in any other way.

So they are the real deal.

ah, cool! a little disappointed that these arent ultra-rare misprints or something, but as long as they're not fake or tampered with, hey, im happy. :P
