So long as we can agree on that, we're cool for now. I have nothing against you.

Note, though, that there's a difference between being blunt and being all-out rude. Being blunt would be to write a guide that tells people the difference between a muse and a soulpuppet. Being rude would be to write a guide that essentially states "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG," especially without explaining why. I plan on doing the former, if I ever cover it in the reviewing guide.

I don't quite know what we're agreeing on except possibly uses of dripping sarcasm. At which point, okay. O_o

Didn't Hanako make a statement that going offtopic here is now forbidden. She said she'll just be handing out warnings now. This would be better suited for PM than spamming this up.

Anywho, today is the day...Season Champs, Chapter four, 1st rewrite

Hanako said that? But this thread was created for being offtopic.

Hahaha. No. It wasn't. It's a writers' lounge not an off-topic lounge. We're here to talk mainly about writing-related endeavors...which seems to be an idea some people are forgetting as of late.

In any case, why don't we go off to more writing related topics. For instance, what is everyone's favorite genre(s) to write in?

I'm not sure yet. I'm just now getting in to writing and such. I was recenetly introduced to Pokemon Special Manga and I must say I was inspired. So basically, right now, I'm into whatever genre you can call PSM.

I adore writing a good science fiction story. I don't like incorparating that into my fanfiction though, it seems irrelevant. I also like to write a good drama (e.g., Season Champs) xD.

I like drama, too. I'm trying to make my fic more of a Dramedy.

A mix of drama, action, adventure, mystery, and some romance for me...combine that and you get the show "Lost"...err, I mean a great piece of writing.

I usually vary. A number of my short stories tend to be crackfics or pseudo-intellectual angsty endeavors (see Goldfish Funerals for an example), but longer stories end up being fantasy, sci-fi, drama, or some sort of mixture there. I particularly like sci-fi and the 'punks -- cyberpunk and steampunk especially.

Also, action thrillers tends to suit my fancy. The bloodier I can make it, the better. Mostly because I'm a sadist.

Out of all the ways that I thought to label my fics, I never thought about what genre they are under. Typically, I just list them as "general" since I write about a mix of everything.

My favorite fics to write are sci-fi/romance. It's a strange mix, but I love those fics.

I used to like dabbling in angst or drama, but that was when I was a goofy little teenager who thought that she was so mature. Now I think I just stick with action/adventure, like Melville.

And there I was about to give you a review.
Why can't you still? TurtleKing said nothing that could stop you.

And yes, let's stay on topic. I didn't hand out warnings earlier today since I was dead tired, and didn't want to make a mistake. ^^ But from now on, only fic matters in this thread. Everything else is taken to the PM system.

Mmm, I love the smell of petty in the morning.

Anyway, I prefer to write action/adventure stories for my longer works, often with elements of sci-fi and fantasy. My one-shots and shorter stuff can be from a variety of genres but is usually introspective in nature, with common themes being death, despair, and destruction. In general, I don't write very "happy" things, although I don't really know why.

Action/Adventure (maybe a little Romance) is where I live. I enjoy reading Horrow and Mystery, buy I'm pretty bad at writing them.

Hmm...Well, the first saga of Blazing Dreams was OT, but part two was closer to a chosen one plot, with a lot of drama (and cliffhangers. Can't forget them, can we?). My favorite genre for general Fan Fiction and otherwise is Action. Yeah...

In terms of fanfiction, I usually write action/adventure and drama, unless you want to count fantasy when I write fanfiction for fantasy-genre fandoms. :P

More recently, though, I've branched out a little into angst, such as with Taming and Mirrorscape (the latter of which isn't posted here yet) and a few other one-shots I have in the works.

Hmm, come to think of it, my one-shots tend towards angst and drama while my epics are usually very action orientated...

But in terms of writing in general, I also love fantasy and sci-fi. ^^

I came here before once talking about a fic I'm working on. I had a hard time thinking of a title, but now I think I have one. Anyways... here's the prologue.
