Voted for Crystal, but in hindsight, I would've probably liked to vote for Red. Nonetheless, Crystal has all the improvements of the Metal Gen (night/day cycle, phone, Special Attack/Defense being two separate stats, two regions in one game, breeding), but it also has a few new side benefits, like puzzles in the Ruins of Alph and kindly having Suicune face us so we don't have to chase after three Legendary Gerbils all over the Pokemon world at that point.
On the other hand, Red was part of the original stuff and is therefore cool in its own right on top of having amusing sprites and awesome glitches all over the place.

I also vote for crystal, it was long, had a better plot around the dogs, and kept G/S features while adding new ones.

Crystal is pretty nice since(sp?) you can go back to Kanto and explore there. Not to mention 100 new Pokemon.
But I also love R/B/Y for a different reason...

I'd have to go with red,m it had awesome glitches and was just all around fun to play, but crrystal would be my seond. It was a perfect combination, and It was made beautifally.

Silver. I loved it more than any other for some reason that I can't exactly say. It just got me for some reason. It could be something as simple as the version color; I'm not entirely sure.

silver. because i liked the animations (alot of of them are similar to those in d/p), and it wasn't to confusing.

Mine is Crystal because of the changes and also you could get Suincue quite early on in the game as it is my fave legendary dog Pokemon.

Crystal, cuz' it's the first pokemon gome that has animated pokemon pictures when ever you face them in a battle or when their status is being viewed and of coarse we can get Suicune,my favorite legendary,early and easy and it'll not run away when you face Suicune.

I chose yellow. I might have chosen one of the metal games, but I never was a big fan of those, even while they were out. It's probably just me but for all of the additions made in the 2nd Gen,it never felt like Pokemon to me. It still doesn't.
But on another note, yellow was my favorite being that out f all of the color games and the G/S games, the sprites were the best and the game was a lot harder and more frustrating to play and collect all 150 due to the fact that you had to collect pokemon from bothe Red and Blue and the Gyms were waay easier that the metal games. By a mile. I actually fainted during the Gym battles.

Crystal is my favorite because you could do so much in it. Those were in the golden days, when I was starting to get bored with my blue, yellow and gold versions....then crystal came. Something as simple as adding a Suicine sideplot.....bang! I was hooked again. Also: You could catch Snorlax again :]

Crystal. The game was excellent for so many reasons, and it had a lot of stuff to do even after you beat the game.

I love them all, especially Red and Blue. They were the very first 2 Pokemon games and with them everything has begun^^
But Yellow is cool, too. I like the surfing Pikachu mini game and the sprites are mostly better than in Red/Blue.
Gold and Silver were great, when they came out. The Johto region and Pokemon were so new and the games made lots of fun.
Crystal was a few times better than G/S. The features were cool and you could catch Lugia and Ho-Oh in one game. I played this game for a so long time and it hasn´t been boring.
All the old games have something that make fun, so it´s hard for me to pick one of them.
But today, I actually only play Pokemon Red, Blue and Yesllow. Crystal bored me when I play it (I guess, I´ve played it too much in former times xD) and the first games are still my favorite games.
