Favorite Types and New Type Ideas

Water, Ice, Grass, Dragon, Dark, and Psychic would have to be my favorite types.

Despite the fact that I like a lot of fire Pokemon, I'm actually not a big fan of the fire type...

I voted for fire because I didn't realise it was multiple chioce *bangs head*. I would have chosen dark, ghost and psychic too. Light type seems a bit Digimon-ish so I prefer something like say a cyber type. Looking back, seventeen is enough.

My favorite is, and probably will always be, water types. Something about them I find appealing, and a lot of my favorite Pokemon are water types.


As for any new types, I would not mind a light type...

my favorite is dark,

and the new type should be virus like a mix between dark and ghoast. virus has no weakness, and it is super effective agist fighting bug and physic and immune to poisoin. it's not verry effective agist flying and water, and it resist fire, water and flying. normal is immune to it, but that doesent change anything.

My favourite type is Psychic. As for new types, I wouldn't mind if no new ones weere added, but, given the choice, I'd add a Light type.

Dragon0fangz beat me to it, but I was going to suggest Sound as a new type. As a form of energy, it makes sense as being something unique that can actually be defined as far as physics are concerned. It would be neutral towards Electrics, since electricity is basically the "Light" type everyone wants. Sound as a type could be applied to only a few moves, specifically Sing and others that neurologically affect Pokemon in battle (subliminal messaging), and makes sense for Unown (Unown communicate via radio waves) and the Jigglypuff line.

My second recommendation would be an Aura type, good against Dark and neutral towards Psychics. Pokemon of this typing would tap into the life energy within themselves and use as a spiritual pressure of sorts.

Anything else just doesn't make sense.

I don't see a real need for a new type, but a few ideas may include the popular Light type. A couple of others would be Void, and I was thinking something to do with Energy might be pretty cool. You know, feng shui, chi, etc. ~universal balance~ and whatnot.

I never suggested electricity is light, but that since electricity is predominately used to produce light, in the context of the games it serves the same purpose.

i think new types are highly anticipated. i really hope the game developers for the 5th gen will consider adding new types in the game. if that happens, that would be great!!!

I actually want 3 new types, but that's it. That's only because I like multiples of 5.

Anyway, my favorite type is Water, with Psychic in a close second.

I think that the 3 new types should be any 3 of these: Light/Holy, Sound/Sonic, Cyber/Virus or Cosmic/Space.

By the way, I was thinking last night and realized something. If they did make a light type then they would have to change some moves like Solarbeam and Flash Cannon's types to light type moves which would get rid of the strongest grass and steel type moves in the game.

Fire has allways and will allways been my favourite type, it just pwns. Next for me comes Ground Rock and Steel. I would like to see a Fire/Dragon Type. And a Steel/Dark type.
