Favourite Dub Titles!~

    Heh, saw this in the Bulbagarden and though, why not bring it here!

    So basically, this thread is to discuss 4Kid's and PUSA dub titles. You can say what you favourites are etc...

    Some of my favourites would have to include:

    • Viva las Lapras (4Kids)
    • Ignorance is Blissey (4Kids)
    • Pasta la vista (4Kids)
    • Gettin' twiggy with it! (PUSA)
     
    "At the End of the Fray" would be my favorite 4Kids title, with a special note for "Gaining Groudon" and "The Scheme Team."

    TPCI, i'll have to give that a ponder, or two.
     
    One of my favorites is "Home is Where The Start is".

    My least favorites are "An Old Family Blend" (Sounds like a catchphrase for some stupid jam commercial) and "Casting a Paul on Barry! (It makes no sense. It's not based off any pun I know and it seems silly, like you're casting an actual thing, not a person.)

    "Casting a Paul on Barry!" is referring to the act of casting a funeral pall on someone who has died, referring to how Barry was brutally defeated by Paul. This one was actually one of my favorite titles. I also enjoyed "Pursuing a Lofty Goal!" However, my favorite title has to be BW011, who's name translates to "Ishizumai! Take Back Your House!"
     
    "Pokemon! I Choose You!" The very first episode of pokemon has been tattoo'd onto my heart. And another thing about it is that it kept its original Japanese episode title.
     
    Gotta Catch Ya Later! and Extreme Pokèmon. Funny that both are Master Quest eps..
     
    Hmm..."Me, Myself, and Time!", "Dawn of a New Era!", "Electric Shock Showdown", "A Full Course Tag Battle", and "The Scuffle of Legends!" are some of my favorites.

    The weirdest one so far has to be BW003: "A Sandile Gusher of Change!" The only conceivable origin I got is the apparent Googled phrase "a gusher of cash," which is a bit drug-related. Just so puzzling...

    The worst one right now is "Memories are Made of Bliss". Not only does it remind me of BLISSEY, they had two perfect alternatives:

    The original Japanese title: "Memories are Pearls! Friendship is a Diamond!!"
    My earlier suggested title: "Diamonds Are A Pearl's Best Friend!"

    We'll see how Best Wishes/Black and White proceeds from here...at least they're laying off of the abundance of exclamation points now... The DP series' "!" count was atrocious, as if Pokemon has gotten so "un-exciting" that the exclamations are there in the titles to restore the "excitement". -_-
