    My favourite ones are:

    - Hiroki Takahashi (Makafushigi Adventure, Mezase Tenka-ichi)
    - Hironobu Kageyama (Cha-La Head Cha-La, We Gotta Power, Ore Wa Tokoton Tomaranai, Kusuburu Haato ni hi wo Tsukero)
    - Deen (Hitori Janai)
    - Field of View (DAN DAN Kokoro Hikareteku)
    - Megumi Hayashibara (Give a Reason and more)
    - Rica Matsumoto (Mezase Pokémon Master)

    Oh yeah, The Pillows (Ride on Shooting Star, I Think I Can) are a cool band.

    HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR (Pride - Gundam SEED Destiny, Resistance and Ichirin no Hana - Bleach. Favorite song - Enrai~Tooku ni Aru Akari~ and STYLE ~get glory in this hand~)
    They are my all time favorite band, one of the few Japanese groups whose CDs I actually own. I love everything about this band, with Yuusuke being my favorite member.

    Ken Hirai (He's never done anime before. Favorite song - Pop Star, yes the music video is on crack, but dammit, it's awesome).
    He has a really nice and soft voice that works out great for a lot of his slow songs and a lot of his faster songs are just good.

    Hitomi Takahashi (Bokutachi no Yukue - Gundam SEED Destiny. Favorite song - Communication)
    Tied with Sawajiri Erika as my favorite female vocalist. I love almost all of her music, she's usually able to pull off a great blend of pop and rock while having very a very impressive band playing in the background. Again, one of the few J artists whose music I actually own.

    Sawajiri Erika (No anime. Favorite song - Taiyou no Uta)
    I first saw her on 1 Litre no Namida and thought she was a really good actress. I downloaded her first single when I heard she was singing and have been a fan of hers ever since.

    nobodyknows+ (Kokorou Odorou - SD Gundam Force. Favorite song - Mabae)
    They're one of the great J-Rap bands, something that's really hard to find these days. Their music is hard to find online, so I'll probably just buy their CDs/Singles when I actually have the money to do so.

    EXILE (No anime. Favorite song - Lovers Again)
    This group sounds pretty American, but they've got some really great songs in them. They're definitely one of the best, if not the best R&B groups out there today, aside from the fact that they have five dancers as part of the band.

    Ayaka - (No anime. Favorite song - Mikazuki)
    Easily one of the better singers I've heard in a long time. She does a lot of styles, so it's really hard to classify her. Most of her songs are great and I hope she's able to stay in the music world for a long while.

    Mariko Shibano (No anime. Favorite song - Zutto Zutto Zutto)
    She only has three singles right now, but I've loved everything she's put out. She was a really powerful voice and she's one of the few artists whose songs I can listen to over and over again and never tire of.

    B'z (Shoudou - Meitantei Conan. Favorite song - Arigato)
    They're just awesome. The group is made up of a vocalist who has been singing all of his life and arguably one of the world's best guitarist and composer, Tak Matsumoto.

    Other favorites: U-ka Saegusa IN db, HOME MADE KAZOKU, UVERworld, AAA, Nanase Aikawa, Rina Aiuchi, JAM Project, Chemistry, RIDER CHIPS, Yui, Orange Range, Younha, SunSetSwish, Mr. Children, Southern All Stars, Bump of Chicken.

    Asian Kung-fu Generation- They are emorific XD{Flash Back- Beck}{Rewrite- Full Metal}{Haruka K.- Naruto}
    Ayumi Hamasaki- I dont watch any animes where her songs are used as the theme songs, but I listen to her songs almost everyday. {Boys+Girls- Inuyasha I think...}{Blue Bird- No relative idea}
    Utada Hikaru- The first japanese artist I listened to. {This is Love- A ramen soup commercial}{Final Distance- Nothing}{Deep River- Nothing again}
    Mini Moni- My favorite band right now. They are absolutely adorable, but an old band ;o; {Lucky Cha Cha Cha- Wasnt on an anime}
    Double You- This is t***eople from Mini Moni.I only have heard one song from them though. {Show me the meaning of love}

    Hmm....well I guess these artists are the ones I listen to most of the time ^^;; Songs are in alphabetical order, fav. songs are in Italic

    Ayumi Hamasaki - Heard a song of her once in a AMV and I liked the song played (Unite!!). After that, I went trying to find more and now she's a artist I listen to quite some time also ^^
    Kotoko - She's first J. artist I ever listened to, Kotoko is well-known among the anime fans but also other groups for singing Op/ED songs for anime series (like being! for Shakugan no Shana) and for her songs Re-subliminity and Agony. Still, Radiance is also one of my favs
    Mell - Opening to the Black Lagoon anime, but I can't say much elseabout it. Just listen the Red Fraction song here and you'll know why I like it among with the other songs.
    Salia - Reminds me I have to look for more songs of her..well anys Trust (Vandread anime) is my fav. song of her since it's just a nice song to listen to ^^
    TWO-MIX - At some J. radio channel called Kawaii-radio I've requested songs of TWO-MIX numerous times, until they got sick of it xD I've wasted 2 weeks looking for a song called La vie en Rose which I couldn't find at anything like torrents/youtube/limewire until one day I found La Vie en Rose and downloaded it. I can't thank the person who uploaded it that day enough ^^ Never seen it at limewire after that day though, but who knows..

    Fairy Fore - (Vivid - Final Fantasy Unlimited. They're de-banded, but I still love their songs! It took me forever to get a hold of Love Sick and VIRGIN(video is live version. I don't like it that much, but it's the only one I can find xD), which are my favourite songs from them. Fairy Fore = <3)
    Asian Kung-fu Generation - (Rewrite - FullMetal Alchemist. That song is total awesomeness. And Haruka Kanata - Naruto)
    Shimatani Hitomi - (Falco - Law of Ueki. My favourite song from her is Dragonfly. I only have 4 songs from her, though xP)
    UVERworld - (D-technolife - Bleach. I haven't even seen the anime, and I already fell in love with this song xD Another song I like is Shamrock)
    Arashi - (No anime, but they've done songs for Japanese drama shows. I ADORE all their songs. Some of them are Love so Sweet, Sakura Sake and Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi)

    I love my Diru, I have all of their songs. x3
    Another favorite is ARASHI. They do a couple of the songs in the Hana Yori Dango J-Drama, and one of them stars in it.
