"Fighting Fear With Fear!" Episode Discussion

Hey Jorah, you're posting next week's episode right?

Gliscor loves battling too much to be a fitting candidate for Dawn's team.
It was a coward. The only reason it's not anymore is because it evolved.

WHEN DID YANMEGA LEARN SILVER WIND???
Off screen training I guess.

Anyway, I really didn't like Gligar at all. I found it to be pretty annoying and was happy that it wasn't getting a lot of battling time. But I like Gliscor a lot. It's powerful and now Satoshi has two Flying-type pokémon. All I can hope now is that Staravia evolves soon.

So, I totally agree with a lot of points and have a few of my own:

-Gary's pretty cool. But had he appeared more, I probably would not have thought so. Maybe it's a "you don't know what you've got til it's gone" type thing, strange as that sounds.
-MAJOR bruises for Ash and Gliscor in the morning.
-I love pineapples! At least that is what the canned food looked like. I totally would have done the same thing were I there with Team Rocket. :-)
- "Bad twerp!" Laughed at that one. Good to see I'm not the only one who thought that was great.
- Anyone else wanna see Pikachu take a rest and Gliscor take over on Ash's shoulder? No?
- Gliscor mechaballoonthing = step up from Meowth balloon. I say keep it. But alas...

Anyway:
- Gligar fears Buizel and that makes me mad. Then he fears the Turtwig. This is getting sad.

You're as good at poems as dub Gary! XD

Uh, well it depends if someone posts it before me! Haha. I don't even know what day it airs in America, I think it's Friday though, right?

Saturday Morning. About 8:00A.M. Central.

Hopefully Gliscor isn't still wimpy. Maybe it will still have some traits, but hope for the best.

Remember kids, a mutant bat will slice through a super helium danger mechanism 50 times its size as long as it believes in itself.
Oh man, that part when Ash said "You just gotta believe!!" was so corny. Did/does he say the same in Japan?

Why in the hell did Umbreon's voice change. It really makes no sense, and it changed for the worse.
I can't even remember Umbreon's old voice, but the way it sounded in this ep really annoyed me. Gliscor's voice annoys me too-it just sounds totally off.

But other than that, this ep was pretty good. Especially the part when Gligar was hiding behind Gary and Ash was trying to pull him/her/it away.

OK, so sorry if it's cruel, but I was cracking up about a minute in at "depressed Gligar". Hahaha it was just sooo funny the way it was in its little curtain of blue and had this ultra-traumatized look on its face while the others just talked around it. X)

Gary brings out the worst in Ash, doesn't he? But at least Ash got over it quickly.
I don't think it would have been as such if the writers would have made Ash adhere to the maturity I thought he had in this episode (but Sarah Natochenny's somewhat bathetic interpretation and portrayal of the character may have something to do with that as having less mature tones than Veronica Taylor, but I won't delve further into that altercation). That aside, I instead would think that through his obstinate riling that Gary brings out the best of Ash as rivals are supposed to be hostile in my eyes to reinforce good training and character in general, but that's just the opinion I'm of. It just feels flummoxing and offset for Gary to be so mature and Ash to revert back to his Kanto / Orange Island arc days in a way, especially when Gary gave Ash a razor fang so as to evolve Gligar into Gliscor, but at least Ash reserved himself a tad then.

Very nice episode...!!!! I can't believe Gligar is still crying and he is a Gliscor...lol!

GARY!!!!

Have I ever mention I love Gary? Teeheehee GARY!!!! Teeheehee

Well this was a very good episode. I really do appreciate that we get some that are like this where Ash does some really good training to help his pokemon. Also it was cute to watch Gligar beg and crash into Ash. Teeheehee It was a bit annoying but really it was funny. Poor little Gligar. Teeheehee

Ashy Boy! Teeheehee So CUTE!!!

Dawn, well, she did called Gary by his name. Teeheehee

I have to say it was really coolies when Gligar did evolve into Glisor. Now that was really coolies. I am really glad that they finally gave Ash a coolie pokemon. I can't wait to see more battle time for Glisor since I am really am excited about this.

As in Ash being a bit immature when Gary first appeared. I think that could be just some leftovers from their formal days of being rivils. I know Ash has acted a bit more mature when Gary appeared before but this time his formal rivil was giving him tips on raising his pokemon and what to do. I think Ash didn't like this since really he think that he can do a better job in raising his own pokemon instead of Gary who he was competiting against before.

Almost forgot about this but did anybody notice how awesome Jessie was with Yanmega and Secviper? Now that was coolies!!! Sliver Wind and Haze. I can see a contest move in the making. Teeheehee With a certain ribbon. Teeheehee
