Fighting Games!

My favorite fighting series is definately Tekken. Tekken 5 is brilliant, but why can't Jin do his spin kick.
My favorite characters are Marshall Law, Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.

Things I've been wishing for in a new SF since SFIII:

-Closure for some characters. I want to know what Sakura, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, and some others are up to. As far as SF3 went, other than Gill referring to Chun-Li as taking down "that organization" (Shadowlaw) with her "legendary legs", it was almost as if the previous SF games never happened. I don't care if these guys are in the game or not, just let us know they all didn't randomly die or something!

-Switch up the old-schoolers a bit. Give Ryu a bit of gray in his hair. If Sakura's in it, she should be a full-grown (and rather ravishing, wink wink) adult. Hopefully, Mel will be a playable fighter... Sean's okay, but playing as Ken's kid will probably be more fun.

-Graphics at least on par with Atomiswave, if not better.

-At least one character who was last seen in the original Street Fighter. Hopefully it's Geki.

-Maybe a prequel that predates even SF Zero, with Goutetsu, Gouken, Gouki, Chibi Ryu, Gouken's daughter, Retsu, Go Hibiki... that would be awesome.

-A few more crossover characters from Final Fight? Haggar may be old, but I wanna play him in a fighting game other than that messed-up "Final Fight Revenge". Curse Capcom for cancelling Capcom All-Star!

-Make parrying more or less like it is in real fighting. No more of this cheap "tap forward at the exact second you get hit and you can even freakin' parry projectiles" crap.

Isn't Atomiswave, KOF-like graphics..?

Sakura is hands down, my favourite Street Fighter, seeing something new with her would be nice (even if its a quick cameo at the end!), Sean as well since he's basically the "Dan" of Street Fighter: III.. but he can hold his own very nicely when played properly!

I think the parrying should still be left the same, it might be a bit "cheap" in some eyes, but the whole point is trying to use the element of surprise when dealing with projectiles and parry-happy people XD

I heard that the new Street Fighter Alpha: Generations movie was crap when it played at Evo, I guess we'll just have to wait and see, when it comes out soon.

Oh and please Capcom... put Yang in the next one! He is very underrated and his older brother Yun got his time to shine!

speaking of aging in future releases, have any of you checked out the screens that have been released for SCIII?? talim looks a bit older now (or maybe my imagination is just whack). that's pretty cool because when SCII came out she was my age, and now she's still my age, so i don't have to feel too awkward finding her attractive... actually... that is actually pretty weird... forget i said anything.

Perhaps she's aged, and perhaps the screenshots are just wiggy. I think she looks about the same with just a higher poly count.

Could be both! You'll just have to buy the game when it's released and find out for sure, won't ya?

Thankfully I have a GC and a PS2... and hopefully an XBox as well when I get my first paycheck.

And in case any of you have missed my touting of this previously, the Epic Battles CCG ( www.epicbattlestcg.com ) was released on the 15th. Right now, it's merely Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, but they also have the licenses for Tekken, Rival Schools, and Darkstalkers, and are trying to get more licenses.

that's hilarious... o man... a ccg based on fighters? that totally defeats the whole point of a fighter. you can't rely on quickness or instincts nearly as much in a CCG. but that won't stop me from collecting... i'll buy a few boosters just to look at the pretty pictures.

Yeah, UDON's art rocks.

But hey, you can do combos in it! That works, right?

Of course.

Ummm... why do I get the feeling that you and I are the only ones in this thread anymore... o_O

Hey I'm still here.. XD

Udon is insane with their artwork, as soon as I seen the first issue of the Street Fighter Comic... I knew they were going to keep te comic in a good direction.. now if only they start that Rival Schools comic that was announced a while back...

New info on the new Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3 Double Upper... there will be a new tag system just like the one in Marvel vs. Capcom and the world tour mode is coming back!

Here is the video, just click on Ryu's head to see it: https://www.capcom.co.jp/game/event/tgs_2005/movie.html

And you can quickly see Bison "tag" with Cammy who then goes into her cannon spike super. I'm not sure if it will be the same 2 character tag or 3 characters at a time.

Also, here is a picture of the new characer select screen, I'm not sure about that "Entry 1 2 3 4 5 6" thing, but who knows.

And as a side note, I'm hearing that Capcom is releasing a new vs. SNK game, but with cards. Not like the exact same Card Fighters Clash for Neo Geo Pocket Colour, but an entirely new version for the Nintendo DS. Here is a link for details: https://news.punchjump.com/article.php?id=1358

Wow, tag matches, huh? Dang it, I need a PSP... and an XBox, so I can play all of those wonderful SNK games that came out on both PS2 and XBox in Japan but only on XBox here -_- CURSE YOU SCEA!

I've heard about the new SNK/Capcom DS Card Game... maybe this will interest some o' you as well...

--King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2, which was previously said to be an XBox 360 exclusive, will be available on Playstation 2 only.
--King of Fighters Maximum Impact 3, however, will be released on Playstation 3 and XBox 360.
--Power Instinct Bonno no Kaihou will be released in arcades later this year. It's an upgrade to Matrimelee.
--To promote Maximum Impact 2, a KoF OVA known as KoF: Another Day, is in the works.

Whoa whoa whoa... how is this at all fair? PSP gets SFA 3 with tag team and we get a card based fighter? Ahhh! The inhumanity! I can't get a revolution now. It would just be too painful to allow a whole nother group of good fighters to pass me by... I've stayed with Nintendo for too long...

Is there actually any fighting games right now on DS? All I can think of are upcoming ones (Marvel Nemesis, Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, and Dragon Ball Z Supersonic Warriors 2).

I'm gonna buy Dust Strikers the day it comes out. It'll be the first DS game that I'll buy... and I've had the system since early June... Gaa... there haven't been any good games at all. It saddens me.

I can see a lot of people like Street Fighter. Well, my favorite series is (hands down) Motal Kombat. I have every almost every single MK game in existance. I find myself playing UMK3 for the Genesis, and my favorite character is Human Smoke.
