Finally, a Community Solely for Pokemon!

Hello everyone, my name is Amical - which is French for "friendly" - and if you'd like, you can just call me Ami! I love Pokemon, and I've been playing the games ever since I was four years old. Now I've gotten into competitive battling, although I've never been to any official events. I found PC when I was looking for a place with others who played Pokemon games because I needed somewhere where I could ask someone if they would be willing to let me trade an EV trained Haunter to them and have them trade it back to me so I could have a Gengar. This seems to be the place, with its own Pokemon trading forum! I'm sure that in the future I'll find other uses for PC, but I'll probably also just come here for fun! Thank you~

I believe that was around the time my brothers introduced Pokemon to me, but I was probably 10 when I got my own game, then received my brother's Silver and Gold.
Anyways, I'm not much of a battler, but I do know that you've come to the right place- and for everything too! I'm sure someone would love to help you out with your Haunter! I'm also sure you will definitely find other uses for PC, and have fun while you're at it :D

I've been a huge Pokemon fan since I was around 7 or so, which was over ten years ago now. Pokemon is an amazing franchise and there are lots of fans around here who have been into it for about that long, too. You're going to settle in really well. :~) You can find lots of players trading in the Trade Corner and you're certainly going to have an amazing time there! I lurk there occasionally since I only got Wi-Fi a few days ago and let me say that the people are some of the sweetest on the entire forum. Chances are you'll get what you're looking for, and if you ever need assistance with that board you shouldn't ever be scared to message its moderators. They're also really amazing - trust me! The Battle Center is awesome as well and we have a neat Pokemon Showdown server if you're looking to chat with some of PC's members or get involved in a couple of battles~

Glad you already know what you want to do here for the most part, you'll find exploring here is really fun since there's so much to get involved in! Trading and battling are a good start and are very popular boards among new members that join from what I've noticed, so hopefully you get your fair share of awesomeness by poking around those two areas. I'd recommend the X & Y board if you're interested in the upcoming sixth generation as well.. it's really fun to discuss the latest news and speculate over there, hehe.

Stick around for the upcoming summer events we have lined up, too! Summer is always an amazing time around this forum and it's a great time to join. n~n

I have to say that's one cute name you have, welcome to PC Amical!

I've been into Pokemon for as long as Cirno was over there, it's one of those franchises that still keeps me going and PC has fans of Pokemon from all over the world. I'm sure you'll make some new friends along the way here, since everyone is friendly and helpful to each other. Cirno has probably shown you the Trade Corner and Battle Center sections, which are fairly popular with members here, and we also have the Pokemon Showdown server where you can battle and chat with fellow PC members. I'm on there as Daikenki, although I may sometimes be on there as Hikamaru. I do have a few usernames there but those two are my most used. I do hope to see you if you happen to pop by.

And also, we have sections discussing all the different aspects of Pokemon, such as the anime, TCG and every Pokemon game you can think of. Maybe you could also try playing a few trivia games or joining some clubs since they are a great way to make friends. We even have some off-topic sections as well if you ever need a break from Pokemon. And with the summer events (well, not really summer where I am hahaha) like the Get-Together 10 coming up you definitely picked a good time to join.
