In the About Me section, there is a Find all posts by <username> link. When you click it, it doesn't really find all posts, just the recent 500 posts. I'm asking is, why is there a cap of 500? Why can't it be all? And if it has to 500, could the link be replaced with Find more posts instead of All or something. It just bugs me...

And if this has been asked before, please close this... Thanks!

Huh, good point. Never noticed this before. :o

Well, I'm not sure, but if you were to do that with someone like Nica.. I can see that being a problem?

Sorry if only staff are supposed to post here

Yeah, I tried to track down all my old posts and I couldn't find them all.

So I'd definitely say yes to having this feature being edited.

Yeah it holds 20 pages of posts. I reckon the main reason vB restrict it to this is because it would more than likely bloat the database to list several thousand posts from a user at a time. It's quite a lot of posts to keep track of. 500 posts would take up a lot less Database resources than say the 70,000 some people have (remember that Other Trivia and other sections without post-count would be included).

That's the logic I can see behind it, I have no issue with the number of posts going upwards, and being able to see them all. However, I imagine that it's simply limited for a reason.

A way around the problem considering this then could be if it were possible for us to specify a specific date in the "Find Posts From" field rather than dropdown choices.

We could set that to the date of the last result shown and then just see the next 500 from there. (and so on)

Sorry if I worded that strangely, it's earl- I just got up...
