I am talking exclusively about the older generation games in this situation.

Anyway, in every single main series Pokemon game, Game Freak self inserts themselves. In the Kanto and Johto games, they can be found in the Celadon Condominiums. I'd say in gens I and II, they're not especially hard to find. In Hoenn, Game Freak resides in the Lilycove Motel. It's a pretty hit or miss if you don't seek that out yourself. In Sinnoh, only one member of Game Freak is present within the games. The Game Freak member in question is staying in the Hotel Grand Lake. I've always found it odd that Game Freak only included one of themselves in Sinnoh, but yolo. In Unova, they have an entire office building in Castelia City. You can also battle Morimoto here and I believe the programmer, Koji Nishino. In Kalos, you can find the game director in Hotel Coumarine. Finally, in Alola, their office is in Hehea City.

Game Freak will probably always appear in the main series games.

Did you manage to find Game Freak in the previous generation main series game? I feel that in some regions, they're more hidden than others...especially Sinnoh. But, I always have managed to.

Yeah I nearly always find them and pay them a visit when playing through the older games, and as a kid thought it was kinda neat that they'd put themselves in the game like that. With that as well, I always used to wonder what you got for coming back once you'd completed your Pokedex, I thought it would be something super rare when I was a kid haha.
