that's just the probability, it doesn't mean you WILL find one exactly every 8312 battles. there's just a 1/8312 chance that the Pokemon will be shiny.

Mean, and almost a SPAM... Now I will bash ya:

1 - I do not capture Pkmn for they stats, I caught them because I LIKE them.
2 - My Spinda defeated my Friend's Tyranitar so be quiet for now.

No idea how that can be done. Even if Spinda uses brick break, T-tar should survive clinging on red at the turn it dragon dances. After one dance, Spinda should be decimated by rock slide or earthquake o_O;

(of course unless you're such a wonder of battling that you know it'll dragon dance so you focus punched right there and then. if that is what you did... want to join the PC team for the Pokemon Interboard Tournament? XD)

Nope. My Spinda have the Magical Choice Band XD And his Tyranitar didnt had Dragon Dance. So I destroyed it with Two Brick Breaks, while I was still alive with Two Rock Slides... Spinda is Cute >=3 XD

I agree completely with that. Why catching a pokemon only cuz it's strong? if you are a good battler, you can beat salamence with a caterpie.

That's a little confused...i will not offend your friend, but is very strange that a spinda defeated tyranitar...but its possible, though^^

I have 7 darn boxes filled by suskits....still searching for a shiny one...

How cna at Caterpie beat a Salamence? A Caterpie with legal sets, moves and stats? HOW!?!?!?!
 
um... Salamence uses dragon dance and scary face continously as the Caterpie with choice band destroys it with tackle? XD;;

as icy storm said a good battler can win. i have beated latios and latias of my cousin with only one pokemon and it was glalie. and my cousin have extremly good attacks with both pokemon. But he is not a good battler at all.

umm...maybe the fact that Glalie has a type advantage over Lati@s could also have been a factor.
 
yes glalie have an advantage but latios have more speed with only one hit he could have killed my glalie.

o and the only way to beat elite four with a 1 level pokemon is putting max stats to him with gameshark,codebreaker,or action replay.
 
I don't think it's evne possible to get a level 1 Charmander legally. There aren't evne any level 1 Pokemon in the game. Level 2 yes...
