Mason soon returned with the majority of the villagers, and with that done he plopped himself down next to a tree and yawned softly. He should help them, he knew he should, but he just couldn't make himself move. The boy was exhausted, and he was still a bit hurt from that axe slamming into his chest. Thank god that it had not done more damage! He looked down at his bow and smiled. It felt good now, that he had done something good. Thank god he had been staying at this village when the bandits had attacked. It could have been a lot worse. He was almost out of arrows. Maybe he could salvage some from the fight. Or get some from the villagers. That way he could move on and help other people. He had found the Shepherds, hopefully Prince and Shinji could convince the leader to accept him. They had seen how good he was. Granted, maybe not THAT good, but he was quick and he could hit the target nine out of ten times, even when that target was charging at him with an axe... Oh god he was going to have nightmares about that. Slowly, he forced himelf to stand and walked around, wandering really, plucking the undamaged arrows that he could find, cleaning them, and putting them in his quiver. He wondered what to do next, too tired to really help out. Still, he tried, reuniting the people of the village and leading them to one another, finding small things and bringing them to their owners and the like.
