Fire or Water?

I know that I love Fire Type Pokemon a lot since Pokemon came out but I'm going to choose Water Type Pokemon because they can have a strong special defense and an average attack counter.
 
The funny thing about this is Water pwns Fire... That cirumstance aside, I'm siding with Fire. I find Water Pokemon are more useful with HMs for use as field Pokemon rather than battle ones.
 
My type preference sides with Water. :D My favourite type overall and they have such an incredible amount of diversity, elegance, simply... everything. XD
 
For me, it depends on the Pokemon. I really like most of the fire type Pokemon while some water types aren't that great. In reality, I prefer water type over fire.

State reasons. Saying "they can still defeat water types" proves nothing. Water types have many, many, many more advantages over fire types. Fire types gets hindered by SR, taking 25% of their life away in switch in. Many of them are very easy to predict as well. It's also not the strongest type in any way.
 
I prefer the fire type personally, but I do acknowledge that competitively Fire just doesn't have as much going for it as other element types, while water is probably once of the most strong types you can get. Excellent variety of choices, while fire really got scorned in this generation overall in my opinion (despite some powerful pokemon, and of course Will-o-Wisp becoming TM move)

But I'll stick with fire as many of my favorite pokemon are fire (or weak to XD)
 
I like the type Water better, but for overall average "goodness" of the pokemon in the type, Fire is better. There are SO many water Pokemon, and alot of them are just terrible. Fire type pokemon kind of got shafted on type(weak to water AND ground, Ouch), but you dont see the meriad of pathetic filler pokes like you do in water. You will never see a Fire pokemon that is as bad a Luvdisc or Azumarill.

Pshaw, that's not the fire.
The fire is just a side-effect. 'Tis the light that spurs life.

Fire doesn't exist. It just the perception of the light released during combustion.

You can't really create anything new with fire. You'll just burn up all the oxygen and destroy all the life in the area.
Vote still goes to water.
