3rd Gen Fire Red / Leaf Green Differences

I'm trying to compile a list of all the differences between Fire Red and Leaf Green. And I mean all differences, even extremely minor ones.

  • The title screens are different.
  • Some Pokemon (e.g. Sandshrew/Ekans) are only available in one game.
  • Some Pokemon (e.g. NidoranF/NidoranM) swap rarities.
  • The Pokedex entries are different.
  • Deoxys's appearance, stats, and level-up moves are different.
  • The prices of Pokemon available in the Game Corner are different.
Are there any other differences I've forgotten?

Trades are different - for example the NidoranF/M and Nidorino/Nidorina trades, and there's one where in LeafGreen you have to provide Slowbro but in FireRed you have to give away Golduck instead.

That last one is actually quite imbalanced as Slowbro is a lot harder to obtain.

Not only are the prizes different at the Game corner, the prices are also cheaper. If I remember right, Porygon is WAY cheaper in Leafgreen. I had looked well into this before myself when I was completing the games, but I think you have everything here :) I think the music is the same, but not sure about the opening. My GBA's sound no longer works or I'd test this myself xD

The boxes are different. The code inside is arranged differently. The cartridges are different.

Are you referring to the PC boxes (like, the default wallpapers or something), or the actual game boxart?

I also found out another difference:

The icons used in the roulette game are different. For example, Fire Red has Psyduck, while Leaf Green has Slowpoke on the reels.

The boxart on the games.

The game's respective mascots appear in the opening.
