3rd Gen Fire Red on the DS

eBay isn't very reliable to buy electronics, I'd advise not to use eBay to buy them. I but all my games new anyway just to be positive that they work.

i can play it like normal.

sometimes when i load it says "the save file is ok" or "the save file has been deleted"

I bought an Emerald game that was like that, when ever I switched it on it said "The save file has been loaded. The game can be played" but it would randomly delete the file. The cartridge is very authentic, nontheless these are fakes. I was int he US in July 07 and I was able to buy a new, genuine FireRed in Gamestop without any problems. Just shop around and you'll find a new one soon enough.

@The Spook, shadow pwns!

hi can anyone help me with my situation. i have 2 DS and 1 Fire red and 1 Emerald. but i cant trade from Fire red to Emerald. why?

This post is off topic. Notice - the new security system. Also, you need 2 GBA's to do trades for GBA games. DS's work for DS games only. By what I heard, you can get 2 SP's, and either 2 Wireless Adapters or a link cable (if you can find them)

This is the wrong spot to put this, since it isnt your thread, but you need to beat the main story of Fire Red, then get the ruby and sapphire in the after-story to trade with Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald.

oh. thanks its just that i posted a topic on this but got no replies.

Patience is all you need,
and eventually someone will help you,
o and the best answer/reason is
because it is probably hacked.

its just a hacked version like my emerald all the do is dump the game onto a cartridge and sell it the seal isnt hard to put on either just like wrapping a present id claim from ebay and report him for A) false advertisement and b) illegally dumping roms you should get your money back and keep the game just like me and if you payed wth paypal you can do it through that aswell

hey guys! i'm new here.. i just wanna ask you guys something..

i'm from Malaysia and i'm 15..

anyway.. i have problem when I play Emerald..

after I defeated the elite four in second time..

they delete my save file...

the game's fine and doesn't have problems..

this is my second time buying Emerald..

anyway... why the GBA game paks always brokes easily....

i wonder why..

pliz help me!

I bought two fakes off eBay before I realised my fault, mine even used the same cartridges as the originals did (LeafGreen and Emerald) Boy I learnt from that.

I got the same problems, so yeah, you've bought a fake :(

but it does look real. it must be!

Dude, don't be so gullible about these things. Believe it or not, not everyone is honest about things over the internet. If the internal battery is dying, then there's nothing you can do.

The best thing to do now is to demand the seller for a refund, and if he refuses, report him on eBay.

Very same thing that happened to my emerald (two of my emeralds actually, cause I bought another after the first one bugged down) and fire red... And my friend's sapphire version... Here's my advice: Dont just look for the seal, make sure that the package of the tape is wrapped in a transparent plastic... Original ones tend to be pricier than hacked ones...

The cause of this problem is that the internal battery is dry. This doesn't automatically mean that you have a fake; the battery could have simply just run out. If you have a G/S/C game from back when they were released, then you'd be experiencing the same problem.

I'm not sure how long batteries are supposed to last, but I heard that it was around 7 years (for the G/S/C games, that is). If your game has run out of battery before approx. 7 years, then it's just a dodgy battery. In this case scenario, all you can do is buy a new game. Nintendo doesn't replace batteries simply because you'd probably end up paying them more then buying a whole new cartridge.

And never buy games off eBay, as you will often get fakes. These 'fakes' can be identical to real games to the naked eye, so just because they 'look' genuine doesn't mean they are.

I done the same, its a "Hack" that was a sad day for me;)

i can play it like normal.

sometimes when i load it says "the save file is ok" or "the save file has been deleted"
The EXACT same thing has happened to me TWICE!
i bought firered & emerald, and it said the same thing. and i know what your problem is: it's not hacked it's not fake tis just from usa, u can check the cartridge.

P.S it will work on a gba/gba Sp
