3rd Gen Fire Red or Leaf Green?

    I want to get one of these but Im finding it hard to pick which. Anyone want to help me out? Here's what you need to know; Im going to have Squirtle as my starter and I have no favorite pokemon really.
     
    Okay, I have owned both so:

    Firered has: Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Bellosom, Ekans, Arbok, Psyduck, Golduck, Growlithe, Arcanine, Shellder, Cloyster, Elekid, Electrabuzz, Scyther, Scizor, Wooper, Quagsire, Murkrow, Quilfish, Delibird and Skarmory.

    Leafgreen has: Sandshrew, Sandslash, Vulpix, Ninetales, bellsprout Weepinbell, Victreebell, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slowking, Staryu, Starmie, Magby, Magmar, Pinsir, Azuril, Marill, Azumarill, Misdreavus, Sneasel, Remoraid, Octillery and Mantine.

    Basically, its your choise. Personally, I'd reccomend FireRed because you get Arcanine which is better than Ninetails, Vileplume/Bellosom which is better than Weepinbellm, Scizor which is better than Pinsir and Skarmory! Skarmory! The only thing I'd say is good about Leafgreen is Misdreavus, Sneasel, Starmie and Slowking. The others, IMO, kinda suck :\

    Anyway, good luck choosing :)
     
    Yeah, Skarmory is awesome stuff.

    I say go whichever, as both are pretty much the same.

    Go for Firered.
    Arcanine is godly compared to Ninetails and Skarmory is pretty strong too.
    I bought Leafgreen cause theres no Firered.
     
    FireRed, cause it seems to have better PKMN, such as Arcanine, but really, its a tie. Flip a coin or somthing if my advice doesnt work! ;)
     
    id go for firered
    its got Growlithe and Oddish
     
    I'd get Firered because of Vileplume.

    But leaf Green has staryu which is a powerful Pokemon if trained Right

    It's pretty much about which version-exclusive Pokemon you prefer. Otherwise, there's absolutely no difference.
     
    A lot of people have FireRed, you could go with LeafGreen instead to be original.

    Or if you have one of the DS games and want to transfer stuff over, take a look at what the DS game you have is missing so you can transfer the most over.

    I went with LeafGreen, myself. And never looked back.
     
    I have FireRed, and didn't know that Ninetales wasn't in it at first. xD
    But I figured that out by myself...eventually. xD
    I love Arcanine and Ninetales...pretty much equally.

    'kay, back on topic...
    I have FireRed, so it's logical that I like it better.
    But I guess they're both pretty much equal, you do what you want.
     
    I haven't played either of them, so i can't say. But anyways, i'd go with FireRed, yes you know why.:P
     
    I like Leaf Green's exclusive Pokemon better (since I REALLY don't like Arcanine) so that's the one I picked up. Otherwise, yeah, it's the same game.
     
    I got Leaf Green. I dont know why I choose it! LOL but i like it :)
     
    I have FireRed because my favorite color is red, but now that I am going to start trading over my strongest Pokemon to Emerald, I am starting to wish I had gotten LeafGreen as I really want a Slowking.

    But oh well. It still does its purpose. :)
