5th Gen First game without previous gen Pokemon?

I would like to see some old gen. Pokemon. All the news ones wouldn't be so great D:
 
Then again,if there is no 1st to 4th gen pokemon in the game untill after E4. It would make it a little more difficult because we dont know the ways the pokemon work.

Me too, plus this is the first game where Sinnoh pokemon that don't evolve from gen 2 pokemon can be in the regional dex of a region that isn't sinnoh :)!

Regions based in North america even should include north american names, or north american like name.

If it is based in America then the name should be something like New york, Idaho, Florida ect. Life kanto was a name or an actual 'region' in japan a first in a new country should too.

althought keep in mind isshu is not confirmed to be based on any country yet. and we shouldn't claim it being american based just by the eagle pokemon heck Jhoto got stantler and deer are only found native to north america and carvanah is in hoen while piranha are native to south america

Eagle Pokemon? I am an idiot, tell me more about this. If it rules, it will so be my new flying type in every game.
 
It's name is Wooguru the unoffical name for it in english is Wargle. It is a flying/normal and type and as of rigth now we don't know if it is a basic pokemon or what. It has a new 2 turn move called Free Fall. It grabs the opponets pokemon and then slams it down.
 
Acually this would be the 2nd game without previous gen pokemon. Kanto was all fresh.

I would like to see something like a 70:30 ratio of New and old pokemon. I wouldn't like a completely new dex, but I would like a decent amount of new pokes.

If this were in Japan, then why did they start over on the route names? They didn't do that to Hoenn or sinnoh.

Seems like a variation of double edge since it would seem likely that it would harm itself doing so. Nice.

I hope it looks awesome and is useful in the late game!

It does seem like it would do harm but it's also two turns...most two turn moves are high except for dig which is 60. Recoil moves are also high so this move could be more powerful than Sky attack...it also sounds like what Charzard used in the anime but wasn't that seismic toss...

I hope this Pokemon, if it truly is like an Eagle, is the sort of Flying-Type Pokemon that you could truly take with you and run with all the way through the game. For my money, the best Flying types to run with remain the Pidgey line because you could get them early. I hope this Eagle pokemon is an elite SOB.

Well I think we might get it early if it's not a Legendary pokemon. I can see it (it's pre evo's actually)found in the early routes like Pidgey or Spearow was in Kanto :)
 
It would be nice. I'm always on the lookout for a better flying evolution tree.

Starly is fine, and so is HootHoot. I guess what I mean is that when you think Flying-type Pokemon, Pidgey and the evolutions are what come to mind, ya know? I just hope this Eagle has the chance to become a legit late-game threat like Pidgeot/Staraptor/Noctowl can be.

You forgot Swellow who is a speed threat ;)
Yeah I want him to be a threat like all 4 birds we got so far :)
 
Speed killed...until quick claw came to be!
But on a more serious note, speed is extremely valuable, but I didn't find Swellow useful in the late game. Earlier? Sure. But in the late game, it was a tad weak for a flyer.
