As the titles says, CC3 is almost out of beta. If there are no more bugs found within the next few weeks I would say this game trilogy is completed. Changes are listed below in the CC3 spoiler section. Thanks to everyone who has contributed!
A few years back I made an open world Pokemon game patch for a friend of mine. He requested a Pokemon game that was completely open world, with the Gym Leaders being the most powerful trainers around. And that is exactly what this game is.
At the time of its creation (in 2016) it was the only open world Pokemon game available. Since its release it has received two sequels, finishing off the trilogy.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think. These games can be played in any order, however the story progression is a thing. That being said, the later games are much more polished.
Clays' Calamity I
Original Game: Pokemon Fire Red
Patch Number: v10
COMPLETED
Original Game: Pokemon Fire Red
Patch Number: v10
COMPLETED
Spoiler:
Game Production/History:
This was the very first open world Pokemon game. Created in early 2016, this patch was never meant to be released to the public as it was a custom mod for a friend. However, since Clays Calamity II has been growing in popularity, many people are requested the first game be released.-------------------------------
Game Story:
In this first ever open-world expansion of Kanto you play as Clay; an overly cocky and thorough Pokemon trainer. Clay has one mission on his mind, to contour and beat every gym leader like no one has ever beaten them before. He has a plan, and he is going to follow through. How? By being the best. Why? Because he can.He starts his travels with a Magikarp and a Master Ball. All he needs in order to sweep every trainer, gym leader and organized crime syndicate in Kanto. He knows he is the best, and no one stands a chance.
Play Clays Calamity now and see how he does it!
-------------------------------
Game Play:
The game plays exactly as Fire Red with a couple exceptions.1. The over world maps of ALL routes/towns have been edited for an open world, go anywhere environment.
2. Gym leaders have increased in difficulty and are meant to be battled after all trainers are defeated. If you have played Clays Calamity II don't think this game is on the same level of difficulty. The leaders in this game are much lower leveled.
3. All rival battles have been removed.
4. Islands are skippable.
5. Pokemon have been added to routes (all starters within gen three are available within the first couple of routes).
6. No starter Pokemon from Oak. Instead you are given a Master Ball. Catch whichever Pokemon you want to start with.
Post Game:
Unlike Clays Calamity II there is no Post Game in this patch. When Mewtwo/Champion is defeated (because of it being open world, either of those could be done before/after one another) the game is over.
-------------------------------
Features:
• There is NOT a Special/Physical split• ONLY Pokemon from Gen 1- Gen 3 are available
• Master Balls are purchasable once at the Elite Four
• Hidden passages are strung throughout Kanto (not as many as Clays Calamity II though)

Game history:
This game takes place several years after Clay's Calamity I, where the main character, Clay, embarks on a quest through the open world of Kanto to become champion. After completing the league Clay then goes into hiding and is never seen again. Clay's tremendous concurring of every trainer and gym leader shook Kanto so much that all the gym leaders became stronger in an attempt to never let someone wreck their world has hard again.
What is your job? To find and defeat Clay!
Journey through the completely open world of Kanto with Pokemon from all three generations and experience the most difficult Pokemon game ever created. Gym leaders are the strongest enemies (second only to the Elite Four) that you can face and Pokemon are greatly versified in type and level.
Every Gym Leader you defeat will bring you one step closer to finding Clay. Solve the mystery and defeat Clay to complete this Pokemon game!
-------------------------------
Game play:
You will start the game with a Magikarp and a Master Ball. This is meant as a means to capture your very first Pokemon. You may travel anywhere you wish (because it is open world), but the Pokemon in the routes around Viridian are the best to start with (IE, the original 9 starters). After capturing your first Pokemon go to the Viridian City gym which is the starting point for this venture. From there piece together clues to find Clay, the most powerful Pokemon Master that ever rocked Kanto!
-------------------------------
Hints:
• Viridian Gym is a free-be gym. Go there to begin your journey.
• Brock and Misty are the only push over gym leaders.
• Hidden passages and secret warps are scattered throughout the Kanto region.
-------------------------------
Features/Modifications:
• Starting town is Viridian• Warp tiles added in multiple places for fast travel: (Viridian to Pallet, Pallet to Cinnabar, ect)
• Increased wild Pokemon levels
• Increased gym difficulties
• Running shoes immediately
• Open world with all minor obstacles removed (cut-able trees, optional paths, etc)
• Secret passages to other routes
• Increased variety of Pokemon
• Moltres back in Victory Road
• Mew available in areas based on folk-lore (from the original 1998 red/blue release) and Pokemon Adventure Manga.
• Pokemon available based on level, type and surroundings (example: all Moon Stone evolutions are available around/inside Mt. Moon, top tear Pokemon surrounding MewTwo, etc).
• Islands are optional (with fast warps to end triggers if wanted)
• UPDATED! New Physical/Special Split

Story:
Ten years have passed sense an unnamed hero stormed Kanto and defeated the strongest Pokemon Master in the Indigo League, Clay. The battle lasted several days, resulting in the destruction of a city and the reduction of Pokemon gym. Without the minimum requirement of eight official gyms Kanto was knocked out of the Pokemon League Verified Regions. One decade has passed and Kanto has now been re-entered into the League. Gym Leaders have been re-evaluated and trainers have been raising their skills. Try your hand at this new take on an old generation of Pokemon; the conclusion of the open-world, Fire Red trilogy, Clay's Calamity III.
-------------------------------
What this game offers:
This game, like the previous two, is an open world Pokemon patch of Fire Red. The available Pokemon have been greatly expanded upon and an attempt has been made to make every Pokemon (within the first three generations) available. All blocked passages, rival battle scripts, cuttable trees, locked doors and trainer blockers have been removed, making this a completely open world experience from the opening screen. Travel from city to city on boats, by foot or by hidden warp pads.
This game, keeping with the aspect of the first two, has Pokemon locations based upon folk-lore, type regions, environmental factors (like moon stones) and level diversity.
Hidden passages litter the region and secret trainers wait to be found. Continue the journey and follow this story to the epic conclusion!
