Ok, so this is my first team since I played Shoddy this time last year. I've made this team pretty good IMO and I'd like your feedback and suggestions :3

    Azelf
Moveset: Flamethrower, Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Psychic
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Levitate
    Item: Life Orb
    EV's - 6HP, 252 SPE, 252 SPC ATK

I chose to give Azelf this set for a few reasons. Firstly I need my starter Pokemon to have stealth rock so it can set up the damage for the opponents following Pokemon. Nasty Plot is there to get my Azelf's stats right up so it can then go on to possibly sweep some other Pokemon. Flamethrower and Psychic seemed good moves to have for the attack.

    Starmie
Moveset: Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Psychic, Thunderbolt
    Nature: Modest
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Item: Choice Specs
    EV's: 6HP, 252 SPE, 252 SPC ATK

I wanted to make my Starmie a particularly versatile one that had a wide variety of moves. Because I didn't give this Starmie any stat boosting moves I added Choice Specs so that there would be a 50% boost in special attack. Starmie's my favourite Pokemon too <3

    Claydol
Moveset: Earthquake, Rest, Sleep Talk, Stone Edge
    Nature: Impish
    Ability: Levitate
    Item: Leftovers
    EV's: 252 HP, 252 DEF, 4 SPC DEF

When I played Shoddy last year, Claydol was a Pokemon that my opponents usually found very hard to take down so that's why you see Claydol in my team now. It's got high defences enabled and with it's rest and sleep talk duo, the impish nature kicks in and gives Stone Edge and Earthquake a good attack rating.

    Weavile
Moveset: Swords Dance, Night Slash, Ice Punch, Brick Break
    Nature: Jolly
    Ability: Pressure
    Item: Life Orb
    EV's: 40 HP, 254 ATK, 216 SPE

I like many others are a big fan of Weavile with it's awesome speed. After Weavile using its swords dance, it's very high in attack and is ready for a sweep. Brick Break is perfect to pair with Swords dance as it uses physical attack which is great. Quite a powerful sweeper

    Metagross
Moveset: Earthquake, Explosion, Meteor Mash, Thunderpunch
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Clear Body
    Item: Choiceband
    EV's: 252 HP, 236 ATK, 12 DEF, 10 SPE

Metagross is an obvious choice because of it's pure strength in defence and attack. It's certainly not an easy opponent to take down. And of course with the choice band, it's got even more power by 50% which is fantastic. The moves are just for sheer power.

    Aggron
Moveset: Aqua Tail, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Superpower
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Rock Head
    Item: Choice Band
    EV's: 152 HP, 232 ATK, 124 SPE

Aggron is another Pokemon I chose for it's pure power that it brings to the battle. Paired with the Adamant nature and Choice Band, it's exceedingly powerful. The moves were chosen in a varied way so that Aggron could be as versatile as possible.

So, that's my team that I designed this morning. Tell me what you think and I'll be quite interested! This took ages to type out XD

    Thanks

On Aggron Head Smash >>>>>>> Stone Edge.

    Scizor destroys your entire team.

Claydol sucks, its UU for a reason especially with rest talk.

    DDTar destoys you

LO Gyarados owns you (OHKO's Starmie and everything else with SR up).

No answer to ScarfTran, Fire Blast 2hko's EVERYTHING at worst.

    SD LO Crunch Lucario weak.

    DD/Mence weak in general.

    Agiligross weak.

    No answer to Breloom.

    Heracross weak.

    Rock Polish Rhyperior weak.

    Sub Petaya Agility Empoleon weak.

I know its been a long time but you should get yourself familiar with the metagame before using outdated stuff. Im not trying to be an ass, this is for your own good.

That thread is VERY helpful so you take a look at it.

The lead set for Azelf is much more effective than the one you're using right now:

    Azelf @ Focus Sash
    Naive Nature
    4 Attack / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
    - Explosion
    - Stealth Rock
    - Psychic
    - Fire Blast / Taunt

SD Weavile is incredibly outdated and very metagame weak due to Scizor and Heatran being on most teams nowadays. Also, there's no point in having both CB Gross and CB Aggron, since both play incredibly similar roles. Elf pretty much said it all though, this is a very metagame-weak team. Definitely check out that link so you can better understand what threats you need to cover

You're right, I did lots of Shoddy Battling today and I realised my team didn't work well. A few people used Scizors on me and a Houndoom too.

My movesets were based from Smogon University but I've been told it's not been updated for HG/SS. I'll work hard tommorow to get a new and updated team. And I will check that thread out too :3

    Thanks guys.

A Houndoom ? I guess I knew who used this thing in OU ..... anyways.

if you want a fast SD user, SDApe is your bet as it can resist scizor's bullet punch, but SDLuke can be even a better SD user thanks to its higher attack and Access to ExtremeSpeed.
