Fishing?

Can someone please explain the deal with fishing.

You are a 75 pound trainer and you are fishing next thing you hook a 500 pound Gyarados how can you reel it in when your only 75 pounds?

u dont. gyarados reels u in. thats why the area ur on top is water. hahaha!
i hav no idea. but games dont need to make sense.

I never thought of it before....

I think there's a reason why there are different rods, examples:

OLD ROD
A. Only gives you Magikarp, Goldeen, and other things under 30 Ibs.
B. Doesn't get good fish, is old.

GOOD ROD
A. Gets more Pokemon, remember tis is Pokeworld. I think it has Auto-Reeling technology.
B. Gets good fish.

SUPER ROD
A. Gets most Water Pokemon, and it probably is very advanced. Probably does the work for you.
B. Gets AWESOME FISH
