[Other] Flags are reset after saving

I've been creating a hacked version of Pokemon FireRed using PKSV and Advance Map.
I encountered an issue regarding save.

I set a certain flag (let's just call it 0xA here), and then I saved.
After resetting the device, I continued from my save point.
Then, I found out that the flag 0xA is not set anymore.

I'm new to Pokemom hacking, so I might not be understanding some things fully. Can somebody explain why this happens and how I can fix it?

I'm using flags starting from 0xAAA0.
I'll try replacing my flags with the ones between 0x200 ~ 0x2FF.
Does it also mean that I have just 256 permanent flags that I can use safely in the game?

Thank you so much, the flags don't reset themselves now.
Are there any other safe flags to use?
