...No, it can't. Here's where technicalities come in. If it says "can be special summoned only by", like Envoys and Rituals, then yes, it can be brought back after the normal way. However, if it says "can not be special summoned except" like Gearfried and certain other monsters, then no, it CAN NOT be revived, even if it was summoned the normal way. Trust me, I know.

Couple other things to note:

1. Deck Destruction Virus is ALSO going to be limited (YES, that's CRUSH CARD, EVERYONE!!!!)...IT is arguably the best card in the set, or AT LEAST tied with Lightning Vortex.

2. Sacred Phoenix and Gearfried are NOT that good. Phoenix requires 2 tributes (no matter which way you look at it) and Gearfried requires you to have too many equip cards (HELLO, REALLY ETERNAL REST!!!!)...they aren't worth it in just ANY deck.
 
I bought a pack today of this series. I got the spell for Gerfiend and the spell card for Phenoix. I've got a question, is the Raganok dragon for the Dagun fusion in this set? I'm just wondering.
 
Let me just say that this set is boring, you get a release Restraint in like every pack. Lightning Vortex is the best card in this set, and there is nothing else of intrest in this set other than the fact that Gearfried, the Swordmaster is cool, and maybe Silent Swordsman LV.5.

I've bought only one pack from this set so far and I got a Lightning Vortex, which was the only card I wanted from this set for my deck. :P

Thats all I got yesterday, one pack that is. Not the LV. LV, Crush Card and the Gerfiend unleashed are basicly all I want from this series. I might just wait until they retire this series and pick them up in something like Dark Beginings and Revolations was. That is if they do retire this set and do that. :\

Also, I think that 'A Feather of the Phenoix' isn't a bad card. Discard one card from your hand to take one card from your graveyard to your hand. Its not that bad.

At least on the plus side I did manage to get ahold of one of those special limited edition Invasion of Chaos decks of three packs with one of four ultra rares. :nervous:
