2nd Gen Flare Blitz Flareon nao- GSC Monospecies Challenge

This seems pretty cool, actually. I just have a question before I start: Are the Pokemon on the list only to be used by one person? Like, since someone already chose Mareep, I can't use it?

Yes that is correct since someone has mareep you cant use it
and i've used teddiursa so you cant use him
He has a list of pokemon currently being used
so pick any that is not being used :D
 
All right, thanks for letting me know. I'll get started on Ekans and give an update soon enough.

This is actually a really cool idea. XD;

For anyone who saw my post before I edited it: I did have Pineco reserved originally, but since I can't trade myself Headbutt from another game and I think it's a bit cheap to go all the way to nearly Goldenrod City while training my starter Pokemon (forcively), I decided not to. So yeah I'm going with Spearow.

All right, I'll just post my progress up until now. I gotta start my homework lul.

Character: Cygnus
Main Pokemon: Ekans
Starter Pokemon: Totodile
Game: Silver version

Did all the starting stuff; got the egg to Elm, killed the rival, got Flash and killed Falkner.
Went through Union Cave and finally caught an Ekans.
Trained the Ekans to Lv.15 so that it has a full moveset

Gonna beat Azalea gym leader next time I start playing.

I started waaaay late, but whatever. XD It's my first challenge thing, gonna have fun with it~

-Went to Cianwood.
-Beat Chuck (poor guy didn't even get to throw a punch).
-Picked up and delivered the medicine.
-Defeated Jasmine.
-Flew to Mahagony (Had been there before just to make it easier for me).
-Fought trainers on the way to the lake, etc.
While I train, I'll do some other stuff too.
In retrospect, I wonder if using wooper is cheap/made it too easy. His only weakness is grass, and I have ice punch to cover that.... Oh well.

I was pretty sure you got old rod from the PC at the Pokemon Center near where the guy asks you to buy a slowpoke tail and I double checked walkthroughs on gamefaqs and got

Then yes, you can get Magikarps. Hey, that's actually a really good starting Pokemon. Evolve it and you've got a damn good Pokemon. Damn, I want that one now. XD;

Anyway, can we use the Daycare center to level up other Pokemon? Since we're not exactly training them. >;

Then I still am in the lead so far...

Character : Mouldz
Starter Pokemon : Geodude (Rocky)
Game : Crystal

Travelled the coastline up towards Lavender Town from Fushcia City, through the Diglett Cave after awakening Snorlax, arrived in Pewter City and challenged and defeated Brock.

Headed south through Viridian City and Pallet Town, arriving in Cinnibar Island, talked to Blue and then surfed to the Seaform Islands to take out Blaine.

Flew back to Viridian, took out Blue. Collected my 8th Kanto Badge, got permission to travel up to Mt Silver.

In Mt Silver, I decided to catch a Larvitar, in case I decide to continue playing the game after the challenge. Anyway, met up with Red, restored Rocky to fighting potential (Full Restore + Max Ether) and then challenged him.

Amazingly easy from what I remember, I thought Red used to be a challenge but I took him down no problems, and thus my challenge has ended.

Final Team:- (Play Time 21:04)

I left off about to beat Azalea's gym leader. I've done that, and gone all the way to beating Jasmine. I'm off to Mahogany next time I start playing.

Because you could have played around 3 hours a day (let's say)
And shut it down while i play more
But i still finish earlier with more hours.
Doest count on your play time
Play time means you spent more time on it really :[)

Actually when I beat the game, I went to sleep, woke up and went straight to work, came home logged on here and saw you posted that you beat the game, so really there is nothing saying that we couldn't have finished at the same time (~8 hours sleep + 8 hours work)

Anyway the idea of a race in pokemon is based entirely on playtime, coz some people have a chance to play more than others. You yourself said that I was probably playing for about 3 hours a day, and you were playing more, but that doesn't mean a thing when you finish a game with 30+ hours of gameplay when I achieve the same point of the game in 21 hours.

Okay, so I beat the game. XD; Wow, I didn't even think I could with a pathetic Ekans. I guess it's all in the moveset. So, yeah. Ended off with a Level 80 Arbok. My final party was:
1. Arbok - Earthquake, Hyper Beam, Sludgebomb, Bite
2. Useless (Croconaw) - Bite, Surf, Whirlpool, Water Gun
3. Oddish - Absorb, Cut, Sweet Scent, Flash
4. Sudowoodo - Rock Throw, Strength, Rock Smash, Low Kick
5. Hoothoot - Tackle, Fly, Foresight, Peck
6. (Red) Gyarados - Thrash, Bite, Dragon Rage, Waterfall

Final stats
Name: Cygnus
Pokedex: 10 owned; 188 seen
Badges: 16
Play time: 70:17

My final play time may not make any sense because I played this on an emulator, and you can speed up the game very fast, which I constantly did, so I may have only been playing for an hour, but the game could of picked up 2 to 3 hours of play.

Alright, major update time:

-Playtime -? (Used the fastfoward button on my emulator trying to see if it would change time and it completely messed my playtime up. >.< I'd predict 35-55 hours? I'm bad at estimating though.)
