Focus Shift

Josh was becoming frustrated, Michio was too stubborn and Mathias wanted information, he decided that it was his turn to talk. Before he started though he said something to Michio, "Your too stubborn" he said simply, then turned to Mathias, "The cloud exist in the Aether realm in our time in the form of a steelix, or at least I think they are the same things but nothing can ever be certain, as well as that unknown persons tried to stop us, violently, from learning more about the cloud, and it was Dialga who sent us back in time" he said, not giving Michio a chance to interrupt him, "Now Michio, if you wish to continue wasting time feel free but i'd rather finish whatever we were sent back in time to do." he said, realizing that he may have gone just a little too far their.

Mathias nodded towards Josh, "thank you, that's all I needed to know," he turned to Michio, "that wasn't so hard now, was it?" He gathered up some papers from the table, shuffling them together. "I suggest you people might want to take a seat so we can discuss what we know." Mathias cleared his throat, "We know very little, we have met the cloud on only a couple of occasions, and as such we have run away. We have taken trips to all the temples around here, all the holy sites, and trawled through many books, but we can't seem to find much information at all." He pushed a book towards Josh, Kris and Miharu, "we found this book in Canalave Library, it is the only piece of information we have come across so far."

The sentence was written in Unknown, so Angelica translated, "the grey world, the black monster, the shifting children. Past, present and future, the cycle continues, Win, lose, it happens together." she said it monotonically, she had memorized the sentence long ago, mulling over in her head.

Mathias spoke again, "We believe that we must work together to destroy this 'Black Monster', but yet we know not of how to, until recently that is." Mathias took another piece of paper, pushing over towards the others.

Angelica once again spoke up, "The Unknown called it, the 'Blade of Origin', that there is a stylized version of it, we know not of what it truly looks like, nor where it resides." she looked at the others, "we thought that maybe you future Shifters might know where it is." she said hopefully.

The Blade of Origin...

-----

Josh told Mathias the truth and Mathias produced a book he had found in Canalave Library. They showed us a passage written in Unown letters and Angelica translated, though I could read it just fine.

"The grey world, the black monster, the shifting children. Past, present and future, the cycle continues, Win, lose, it happens together." She said, without actually reading as it seemed she had it memorized.

Mathias spoke up again, "We believe that we must work together to destroy this 'Black Monster', but yet we know not of how to, until recently that is." Mathias produced another piece of paper.

Angelica started to explain again, "The Unknown called it, the 'Blade of Origin', that there is a stylized version of it, we know not of what it truly looks like, nor where it resides. We thought that maybe you future Shifters might know where it is." I looked at her, then Josh and lastly, Miharu.

"I have no idea what this blade is, but its name suggests it could be in a number of places, or in the possesion of a number of pokemon." I kept my gaze on Miharu, "Do either of you know what it is?"

Michio raised an eyebrow and smirked at Josh. He was wondering when Josh was finally going to say something. Although it was cruel hearted of him to test Josh while annoying Mathias, he didn't really care. No lives were destroyed, no one was hurt, and he finally figured out Josh's limit.

The past shifters showed everyone a passage written in Unknown and one of the twins, Angelica, translated it, although Michio could already read it. Michio choked when he heard about "The Blade of Origin" and noticed that everyone seemed to look at him in surprise.

Mathias narrowed his eyes. "You've heard of it?"

Michio looked grim. "If I am correct...then whatever is with this has something to do with Arceus." Michio then began cursing fluently in multiple languages.

((Dang, you can write XD))

-Raike tensed as he head the word hypnosis. But was not fast enough to turn around. He knelt on one knee as waves of fatigue washed over him. He tried to brace himself on one arm, but it seemed like his arm turned against him, because as he touched the ground, his arm gave out, causing him to fall on his front.-

"D...darn..."

-Was all he could say before he collapsed. During this sleep he had a peculiar dream. It seemed like he was floating. As he looked further in front of him he could see a familiar image. It was the day that all of the shifters had met on Mirage Island. The image zoomed in on Raike, the one who shifted first, preparing to leave. The Raike who was watching gritted his teeth, he knew what would happen next. Just as he predicted, some invisible force hit that Raike in the image, throwing him towards a tree. The weird thing was, it was as if he himself was flying into the tree, and when he blinked, he was. Flying through the air, and feeling the pain of the blow. He looked back to see the trunk of the tree waiting. The dream came to an abrupt stop as he hit the tree, causing him to wake in a cold sweat. He had been thrown into some dark room, no lights or anything, and it smelled as if something had crawled up in there and died. As he regained full consciousness, his eye went wide when he realized something.-

"Angelina!"

-The girl he had been walking with suddenly came to mind. Was she okay? He had no way of knowing. He grit his teeth and began kicking at the door, trying to make as much noise as possible. He was mad, yes, but he needed to think of a plan. Surely there would be guards or something, and the guards, usually had the keys. Besides, he was getting hungry, and they wouldn't like him when he's hungry.-

Josh looked at Miharu, and she was smirking, "Hmmm, testing me like you tested Anthony?" he thought coolly, "I'll test you as well, but not now" he thought to himself.

Mathias explained about how they had searched for more about the cloud, then pued out a book that Angelica read, since it was in unknown script. Josh was always confused by this, the unknown looked like letters, a few like bits of punctuation, but mostly letters. Why did people seem to treat it as a whole language when one of the languages of the present seemed to be based off it.

He ignored that as she read.
"The grey world, the black monster, the shifting children. Past, present and future, the cycle continues, Win, lose, it happens together."
Angelica stopped reading and Mathias spoke.
"We believe that we must work together to destroy this 'Black Monster', but yet we know not of how to, until recently that is."
He pulled out a piece of paper and Angelica started speaking again.
"The Unknown called it, the 'Blade of Origin', that there is a stylized version of it, we know not of what it truly looks like, nor where it resides. We thought that maybe you future Shifters might know where it is."

Miharu knew what it was, she said it had to deal with Arceus!
Josh nearly fell over in his seat, not from shock but because that should have been obvious ever since they had seen Dialga. He didn't say a word though, he just sat their and listened, wondering over if Miharu knew more specifically how this weapon was related to Arceus.

Angelina heard Raike call out her name, but the shock had her firmly in its grip, she could do nothing but shake violently. Light, her Espeon was in another cell far from her, but she could just hear his cries; and that shook her more. Suddenly Light's cries stopped, and fresh tears began to roll down her eyes as all manner of possibilities ran through her mind.

(SIU, Raike will probably be feeling withdrawal symptoms soon from being apart from his Catalyst)

Mathias mulled the name of the God Pokemon over in his head, 'Arceus, what have you got planned for us?' he thought.
"So anyone," he said, "what are your thoughts on the Blade of Origin?"

Michio shrugged. "There are many things that have to do with "of Origin" that has to do with Arceus. In fact, I am positive that Arceus is the reason that Dialga sent us back in time; Dialga does not work alone. He usually works in a pair with Palkia and usually under orders by Arceus, their father. Actually, where Dialga goes, Palkia and perhaps even Giratina follows as well..." he was mumbling to himself slightly, his brain whirling as fast as possible. He blinked as he realized that he was rambling. "Does anyone have a piece of paper or anything to write with or on?"

-Suddenly, it was as if Raike's flame of determination went out. He feel cold inside, like there was something missing. He realized it was Raven, and gasped. He felt like he was losing air, but he wasn't. These were some of the symptoms of being away from your Catalyst. His pupils began to dilate as he gradually began to enter a state of panic, and partial insanity. He gave up pounding on the door and stood unmoving, looking down at the cold dark floor.-

"R..Raven.... where are.... Raven..."

-He could say no more for some reason, the chill in his body grew colder, and his voice became naught but a whisper. He wanted Raven, but she was probably in another cell somewhere. He began to feel something he had not felt in a long time. Fear.-

Harley's mouth dropped as she saw Giratina. She was... beautiful. Regal, amazing and absolutely stunning. Harley had always liked the origin form better than the stocky altered form, but seeing her upclose just made Harley's heart lift. With one of her tentacles, she touched Anthony's mind then turned to Harley. Harley gulped a little.

"May I?" she said calmly and gently to her. Harley went to say something but nothing came out. What would happen? Would Giratina steal her thoughts or see every memory? She quickly fumbled through her mind on what she had read about Giratina; she was known to be violent and very protective of her home, the Distortion World. Violent? That certainly wasn't good news and it also meant that if she refused, not only would Miharu and the others kill her on the spot, Giratina would too.

Harley nodded hastily and felt a tentacle touch her forehead. It felt like an instant headache when it touched but the headache was gone as quick as it came when the tentacle pulled away. Harley, feeling more nervous on what Giratina had seen, grabbed Ceri's arm tightly.

Michio nodded, taking the quill and parchment. He then started drawing seventeen squares and putting one or two letters inside the squares. He then drew an arrow and had it pointing to a rough sketch of Arceus.

"The plates of Arceus, ones like the Splash Plate or the Spooky Plate, give Arceus or other moves of the same type more power. Arceus's best move is Judgment, a move that can one hit K.O. any pokemon. Especially when Arceus has all seventeen plates and can make the move super effective. Judgment also raises the attack, and a lesser pokemon can die from its power. Arceus is usually found in the Hall of Origin. Which is why I thought of the Blade of Origin relating to Arceus. Now these plates give Arceus their power...what if they also give the Blade of Origin power as well? I am just speculating here, of course. I have not met Arceus so I would not really know. Although he seems like a manipulative old bastard."

Mathias listened to Michio's ramblings about Arceus, gazing intently at what he had written on the paper. He stood up, pushing his chair back and grabbing a drink of water from the sink. "If what you say is true, Michio, then this means that we must ascent Mount Coronet to the Spear Pillar, there we need to find a way into the Hall of Origin." He took another gulp of water, finishing the water, "we leave immediately."

He turned to Angelica, "Gather our packs so we can set off," then did he notice Angelina and Raike had left, most likely to get the Persian healed. Angelica returned with their backpacks, "first though, we must stop off at the Healer's to get Angelina and Raike."

All five Shifters left the healers, puzzled. The Healer had said that Raike and Angelina had left over an hour ago, presumably back to their house. Mathias thanked the Healer and abruptly left the tent, scouring the streets for any sign of... anything! But he came up with naught. Cursing loudly he turned to the others, "we now have two choices, we can attempt the impossible and try to find Angelina and Raike, or we can go to the Spear Pillar."

XXXXX

Giratina finished probing their minds, she now knew what they knew which made it easier for her to tell them what they needed to know. She spoke again, "Young Shifters, you are here for a reason. This place has fallen into destruction because of Arceus. He may have created the universe, but my brother is disappointed with the Human and Pokemon race, hence his destruction of this world. You three coming means that we have a chance to restore this world, you three will need to work with these four to defeat Kellyn and Arceus and set the world back on its true path."

Anthony felt something stir inside him, how could Arceus do this to the world? It was something close to hatred, he hated Arceus for doing this, to this world, a world that had so much potential. He clenched his fist, staying strong, he was going to help these Alternate People take back their world from Arceus. "Giratina, how do we stop Arceus then?" he asked, his voice wavering.

"My Child," she spoke softly, "there is only once thing that can stop Arceus, and that is the Blade of Origin. Right now, the traitor Kellyn has the Blade of Origin, it is what he used to kill Harley."

The Alternate Miharu turned to them, holding up an ancient piece of paper with a sword on it, "This is the Blade of Origin, it was forged from a piece of each of the Plates that reside within Arceus, the Plates of Power. It is the only true way of killing a legendary Pokemon."

Giratina spoke again, "Is there any questions, my children?"

Michio frowned at both of the ideas and with Raike and Angelina missing. Of course when someone goes missing he doesn't have Bishamon, although Sei can find others as well. "In order to get to the Hall of Origin we need the Azure Flute. I am a bit worried about Raike and Angelina so I could get Sei to try to find them." Michio turned to Kris and Josh. "What is Kris's and Josh's vote?"

Josh thought for a moment, Raike could take care of himself probably, and he didn't know enough about Angelina to come to a decision on her. He thought about what they were doing, getting a weapon from Arceus, "BS if this is as easy at it sounds" he thought, "I think we should find them first, I don't think getting the blade of Origin will be easy and I think the more of us to deal with whatever difficulties that arise, the better" he said, effectively casting his vote to go find Raike and Angelina.

The Blade of Origin? Harley had never heard of it before. She had read a little of Arceus himself and even less about the Plates of Power but nothing at all about The Blade of Origin. She felt a little proud to have been killed by such a relic. And it could kill a legendary, providing you could get close enough. Although to intentionally kill a Pokémon sounded so wrong. Especially Arceus, the creator of the Universe. Wouldn't killing him come with dire consequences?

"I-I have a question, p-please," Harley spoke up. She was still quite nervous from meeting Giratina, but she needed to say what she had to say. "Wouldn't k-k-killing Arceus have some kind of imp-pact on the world? To k-kill the creator sounds absurd. Isn't there another w-way of stopping him?"

Is that why she was killed before? Did she hesitate in this world too?

"Oh, and can you tell me more... more about Death Walking?" Harley swallowed. If it was needed in this world, she would probably need it again and in the next.

Giratina turned to Harley as she spoke. "My child, legendaries are immortal, their immortality lies in their essence. The Blade of Origin does not literally kill the legendary, but is does remove their ties to the earth so that they go back to what they once were; essence. Nothing would happen to the Earth, darling. It would take years again for Arceus to resume his Earthy Form, thus not defeating the evil, but prolonging it further, much like the ancestors in the past." Giratina stopped for a moment, "but that is not my story to tell."

Giratina shivered when Harley metioned Death Walking, "There is more to killing a Legendary than simply stabbing it, for that would only cause pain and temporary weakness. This is where your Death Walking comes in. I cannot tell you all about your power, for you are supposed to find that out yourself, but you are the key to success, hence why Kellyn killed you. To draw Arceus essence out, the Blade Wielder, the only one who can properly wield the blade, must strike Arceus deep with the Blade of Origin. With Arceus temporarily weakened allows for all the remaining shifters to grab onto Arceus and help the Death Walker to pull him down to the Death Realm. That is you, you must take Arceus and the other Shifters down to the Death Realm to release Arceus' essence." Giratina seemed to talk for ages, not having to take a breath at all. Anthony was stunned by the wealth of this information.

"Harley," Giratina spoke softly, "only you can awaken your power, only you can find its potential, and only you can walk where the dead do. However, you are able to take others down with you. But beware for the Death Realm is nothing like this Distortion World and the Aether World you walk."

Kris's POV (bunnying for Nakuzami)

I watched silently as information was shared. When Miharu had put up a vote of either going to Spear Pillar or finding Raike and Angelina, I knew what we should do. "We should go find Raike and Angelina. Who knows how much trouble they could be in right now?" I questioned logically. Miharu nodded.

"It seems that we shall go find Raike and Angelina as the majority has voted in favor," Miharu stated as she knelled down to face Sei in the eyes. I was still wondering why Miharu wouldn't tell Mathias and Angelina about her true gender. I pondered quickly whether or not I should say anything, but I decided that it was her decision, although I felt it was bad one. "Does Sei think that she can find Raike and Angelina?" Sei nodded and closed its eyes. After what seemed to be a minute, Sei's eyes snapped open and reached for Miharu's hand, nudging her. I could see slight puzzlement on Miharu's expression before they both disappeared. I was slightly startled, although I didn't show it. What could possibly be so important that they needed to go to the Aether Realm to talk? After a few minutes, Miharu and Sei had come back from the Aether Realm, and Miharu looked fairly grim.

"There is good news and bad news," she stated. "The good news is that Sei found Raike and Angelina. The bad news is, Sei can feel huge pain and sadness coming from both of them and cannot sense Angelina's Espeon or Raike's Umbreon near them. I have a feeling that they have been kidnapped and are being kept separate from their Espeon and Umbreon alike." I could see Miharu's eyes glaze slightly as she shivered slightly. She was most likely reliving a time in which she was separated from Sei herself. I felt slight pity for her; I could never imagine what kind of pain I would have felt if I was ever torn apart from Dusk. As if sensing my thoughts, Dusk came closer to my leg. Feeling better from his presence, I petted Dusk.

Miharu blinked, apparently coming out of her memories. She seemed to reach for Sei and Sei came closer to her hand which started petting Sei as soon as it came into contact with it. "We know where they are, let us go."

I nodded.

Josh looked at Miharu, wondering if he should start his own test on her now,]. He decided yes, and decided it should start by letting Mathia know her real gender, "Will the misses please lead us to Raike then so we can save him" he said, gesturing towards Miharu.

Michio, now coming back into the mentality of Miharu, tilted her head the side. It was obvious, painfully so, that he was testing her as a payback of her testing him. Miharu allowed a smirk to grace her features. "As Josh has stated in an attempt to test me, yes, I am a girl. Since we only had male clothing on us, my clothes were gone for one reason or another, I cut my hair and masqueraded as a man. If one looks closely, one can tell that my looks are fairly feminine, although many Asian males can look feminine which is not as strange as one may think. So, if this test is over with, may we move onto the actually trouble on hand?" Miharu stated the last one especially dryly.

Miharu couldn't help but feel Josh's attempt to test her was slightly pitifully, although she couldn't really tell if she had passed.
