Anyway, besides the opening attempting to sound like one of 4Kids' themes, there is one thing that truly bugged me: where is Team Rocket? This is the second theme in a row where they've been ignored. In BF, I didn't mind as much, for their Spurt graphic was...mildly amusing at best, but here? I actually liked their "Together" shot, so I'm rather annoyed here.

The awesome thing for me personally: in my re-watching, I finally figured out Paul's voice: His VA is Jake's voice actor from Daria. That rates as a "OMG!!!" from me.

Thus far, this is two Daria voice actors on the series: Kevin/Mr. O'Neill's VA (Marc Thompson) was on the series from 02-06. Video game canon characters: Maxie off the top of my head. Just foamed from the mouth here.

Hmm, perhaps I could start the thread for the next one in June?

I was re-watching it the other day, and something about Dawn's voice kept on nagging me. I'm almost positive that VA has done some other anime, cause it sounds hauntingly familiar.

I was also trying to place the genre of the themesong. IT sounded a little like rap-wanna-be. A lot like the Hoenn Poke-rap. It sounded very awful the second time around. And, I could swear that it is shorter then the Japanese verison.
 
Yeah, it was like... a weird mixture of rap and the old Pokémon themes. PUSA better be careful, or else they'll end up giving children brain damage from all of the horrible songs. xD We can only take so much of it!

But as for Dawn's voice, it's actually began to grow on me. At times it gets on my nerves because one minute it'll sound kind of high-pitched and the next will get a bit lower. Overall, though, it's pretty cute!

Sort it out with Icha and Reyna and get back to me. I'll plan from there. Actually, the Hoenn Poke-rap was based from the original. Or tried its hardest to. I guess this new one was trying to be like Pokemon World (which I didn't care for, either)?

Edit: All the Japan OPs are clocked at least 1 min and 20 sec. Whereas 4Kids' were 46 seconds mininum -- Advanced Battle was a full minute, actually. BF was 32 secs and I'm pretty sure this was, too.

Yeesh.
 
The opening was just terrible. Would it kill them to make a longer opening? The scenes in any case were kept from the DP opening "Together" with the exception of a few added scenes. But that's what they do in every opening so meh. I honestly thought Battle Frontier was a better song (never thought i'd be saying that o.o)
 
Seems to me like their trying to recapture Ash's beginning for Dawn.
But so far I only saw the first one. I'll be watching the other 2 sometime this week.
