Foreign Languages Club

86% on the listning part... 29/32, ~90% on the reading part.. so it won't matter what you got on your writing test... you'd pass no matter what, but still, i'm quite sure you did well.

Anywho, my first piece of homework, simple: One 10 sentence paragraph about what you do at a sport practice or what your family does around the house. And we have to sue verbs, and keep everything in present tense, since we need to 'get french back in our brains' xD.

Wilkomen leute!
Welcome guys! sorry i was away ! So, wattya say isnt it time to "chazz "this thread up a bit?

Sige... Paano naman gagawin 'yon?

That sorta means, "Okay, but how are we gonna do that?" O_o

Let's write in the other language. ^^
YOu know, I figured out how to write my name in Katakana. (Thanks to FMA, but that's a different story) =D
Woot for Anime, they teach you everything. xD

That's awesome xD

I used to know how to write my name in Thai, but I forgot now... O_o

I can write my name in Arabic but that's about it XP Gret job on all your guy's scores on your quizes and stuff ^-^ I'm actually not doing to bad either, I got an A on my last unit test and a B on our newest unit.

Our last unit in french was healthy eating habbits and stuff to help you stay in shape (ex: Tu devraiz faire des pompes) <- I may have left something out in that sentence, it seems off X_x. Our newest unit deals with the parfe of something..but I forget the name XD It has the past tense of avoir and etre, if anyone else knows ^-^

You mean le Parfait? I know it's called Perfectum in Latin. Let me think. -hates tenses in French-
Gee, I forgot it. ^^"

The passe compose? Or les verbes irreguliers? >.>
And we were given vocab words and stuff, and one word caught my eye:
Un espion (n.m.) A Spy.

o.o
No, it's not he passe compose, we already went over it-but I haven't heard of les verbes irreguliers O_o. Also-that's awesome, it is like espeon XD I had yet to lean that word, now my french vocab has increased ^-^ Though anime in french means lively!

Actually, that sounds pretty close, I think it's called the "en parfait" if that even sounds somewhat right XD It has to do with things you always used to do. I'll check again when I return to school on tuesday ^-^.

I KNOW IT! It's the IMparfait. It expresses past habits and things that are done more then once.
ex: Chaque jour, papa fesait du café. (Every day father makes Coffee).
It's made by taking the "nous"-form and pasting -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient behind it right?

Ya, that passed through my mind, but I wasn't quite sure, so I didn't say that. But i don't rememebr anything about the "-ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient" part. O.O

And yes, it does sound like espeon, doesn't it? The second I saw that qword i was like, "Whoa!" XD. Oh and btw, mudkipblader, you forgot the comma after "Every day". =P

Whatever, a comma more or less, XD you get what I mean right?

the -ais...-aient are what you put behind the verb
ex être (to be)
J'étais
Tu étais
Il/ Elle étais

Nous étions
Vous étiez
Ils/Elles étaient
Right?

Oh... Yeah. I think that's how it goes. I forgot. I haven't done that in ages...

xD I remember, one time I was doing my French homework, while listening to Filipino music, so I started typing up the lyrics to the song I was listening to by accident.

Really? When I'm making up animestories, I sometimes talk Dutch/English/Italian(what I know). It so depends on the anime I just watched.

!! WOOT! I felt special today in French class now cuz we JUST learned about the Imparfait, and I felt smart cuz I was like, ontop of things conjugating (Sp?) all the verbs like that, oh ya. Thanks MKB! ^.^
Well, i forgot what it was for, and two friends in my class knew what it was used for because they had Spanish the semester before and knew about "Imperfecto". >.>

Thanks MKB! ^.^

xD Sorry, I just could help laughing at that. You see, MK is this restaurant in Thailand, and they have this catchy song thing, which just popped into my head when you said that.

Kin ala?, Kin alai? Kin alai, pai kin MK!

Something like that. It translates to "Where do we eat? Where do we eat? Where do we eat, let's eat MK!" in Thai.
