Just wondering why the forum is so slow. Not sure whether its cloud flare but the proxy server and cache shouldnt be this slow.. I mean its really really bad.

You might wan't to check the nginx configuration.. and maybe assigning more memory to your php config.

Big queries inherently point to the direction of your sql database. Assuming you guys are running MySQL, I would recommend puttying into the sever and tweaking the config file, as I was having similar issues on one of my servers. You'd be surprised at the results. If you guys have a integration environment then it would be a great place to test it . This site has a very good page speed score since you changed the theme.. Well done..

I've also noticed that when it takes forever to post, it ends up double-posting. I've been starting to have this problem for the past couple days, is it related to the slow website?

    audy dont shoot me
    It's these main things:

    1) vBulletin is old
I feel like that's a huge part of the problem. PC is very customized and modern, but it's working with a forum system that came out 11 years ago, which internet wise, is a long time. I think it's awesome that you guys can build it up like you can, and that you can go back and rewrite old codes, but would PC be able to handle them better if it were running on vB4 instead of 3? Or would a lot of them become useless because they were written to work with vB3? I've wondered about this for a while, because if PC could function better on 4, then wouldn't it make sense to upgrade? I know you don't want to for aesthetic purposes, and because the codes might not work the same, but-

I guess what I'm asking is more or less, would it be more work in the long run to upgrade and learn / rework codes for vB4, or is it more work to just keep building up PC on vB3?

Anything you can do on 3 that's custom for PC could probably also be done on 4, and maybe it would be more stable and not as slow. Unless it would be slow either way, because PC might just have an ass ton of codes as a forum in general. I'm starting to think out loud and I'm just gonna end it here. lmfao
