phpBB is batter that invisionPowerBoard in my opinion. I think the features are better. phpBB is really easy to modify, too. But, you'll need a host for phpBB.

Yeah thats my problem..umm i have phpbb but i need a good host with and ftp access other wise phpbb sucks if you want to modify the skin..I recently go invision free(my forums still underconstruction.)But yeah go to clicdev.com..and signup

IMO, IPB>phpBB>InvisionFree. I would recommend downloading the IPB 1.3 trial and setting it up on a webhost that has mySQL and PHP.

well ipb got a new stupid rule, and is ipb 2.0 trial version is only for evaluation, for testing before you buy it, so i recommend phpbb and install some hacks.

Because there aren't too many mods/skins for 2.0 yet (or at least that I've found). Plus I don't think a lot of those rules apply for 1.3.
