[PokeCommunity.com] Future world leaders raise your hand!

Some of us like to take charge or boss people around. Some prefer to go with the flow or let others do the hard work. Still others fancy themselves lone wolves who do things their own way and take orders from no one.

My questions: do you consider yourself a leader or a follower and how much do you think being one or the other affects your life?

Me, I'm more of a follower at heart and not very ambitious. More often than not I'd rather have someone point me in a direction so I don't have to make all the choices. I feel like it affects me all the time, but mostly in little ways.

I like to get things done my way. Right down to the last detail. As such, I would rather work alone than take orders from someone or have a bunch of followers who can't get it done right.

Unfortunately, this conflicts with my laziness. So I usually just take orders.

For me, I can say that I have the spirit of a leader, but the ambition of a follower. I have an urge to lead and not be lead, but I don't have enough courage to make the step up. Therefore, with that said, I can safely say I most likely fall into the "loners" category~

I'll only be a leader if I ABSOLUTELY have to.

    I think I'm a loner/follower.

I usually prefer other people doing all the hard work. When I do have to do something though I rather just do it my way and get it done by myself then have other people help me.

I only lead when there is no one else who is willing or able to. You will always find me in the background, neither leader nor follower, but the puppeteer.

Would it be characteristic of leaders to ignore questions like this and not rely on these arch types, forging their own path for themselves and others?

I prefer to be a follower before becoming a leader.

Why?, As for me this is the first rank/position before becoming a true leader. It's because that every leader started in the lowest point of their political life right? So it would be best If I'll start there as well. :). I know that i can learn more things than becoming a leader automatically without the knowledge and faith of a leader and maybe someday I'll be a different than the other leaders that our organization, group or a team had. So I truly believe starting in the lowest point will lead you to the higher point. :P

If one wants to seek the lowest point because they know that from there you can only go up, you will remain there, because you will have depleted yourself of the desire to up the rank, so to speak. For the use of pokemon, given the forum, It's like saying that you use and everstone or hold down b during evolution, because you know all final evolutions started from basic pokemon. However, since you keep holding yourself down to a basic pokemon with the use of b/the everstone, you won't ascend the greatness, like you thought possible.

While all leaders didn't start great, few have ever tried to seek destitute conditions as a path to strength.

Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have it thrust upon them. If you believe that you will achieve it, but don't strive to, you can only wait until it gets thrust. Often though, this proverbial pike of honour is relished by those who did seek, above those who didn't respect themselves in moving forward.

If the task at hand is something I wouldn't do on my own time or don't know jack about, I usually like a leader to tell me the what's and how's.

But if nobody I think is worthy to be leading is in charge, I step up or work my way into that spot.

As far as jobs go, I'm fine with having a superior.

I'm a loner I create my own path and follow no one's. But I do have people follow my path, so I guess I'm a leader too.

My problem exactly. I hate working with others or on other's accords, but I don't want to do the work myself, so I'm kind of stuck just doing nothing, which is fine until the work is due and then I'm totally screwed.

I'll lead if desparate circumstances call for it.

If someone knows better than I do, I follow.
If no one knows better than I do, I lead.
If no one wants to follow, I do it myself.

Seeing myself as a whacky idea generator, I follow me mostly since not many others will.
