FUUUU-moments in Pokemon

I think there was a thread like this, but it died out so it is time for a remake.

Has anyone ever had an annoying moment in their Pokemon games?

Such as, you're about to beat the Champion when your move misses and they score a Critical Hit? Releasing an important Pokemon? Ending up with a terrible nature or ability on your Pokemon? Failing to catch a Shiny? Maybe even losing a long streak in the Battle Frontier?

I'll start.

I remember the first time I encountered Sudowoodo in Gold I didn't know you could catch it and that it was the only one. So I defeated it instead. -.-

One day while battling the Ace Trainer with the elemental monkeys in the Triple Battle House in White, I told my Carracosta to use Surf on his Simisear, but it fainted before Carracosta could use it's attack.
So he used Surf on my team and caused my Krookodile to faint.

To be honest, there are a bunch of specific variations of this type of thread. There's battles you dread, power off, most annoying (whatever), etc so I don't think this one is really necessary since there's so many specific ones.
