2nd Gen G/S/C - Common Pokemon Challenge

Wow, that's an awesome update! This is going really well so far! :D

I'll update this post soon with my own update on the challenge.

8/4 Night...

Finally can catch a wooper
Caught a Female Wooper, named it WOOPONG
Trained ekans to level 15 so it could learn bite
Went through Union cave, got swift
Fought Hiker Anthony
Swept through slowpoke well
Ur mom(my ekans) destroyed Silvers team
Taught Belle Cut
Remembered that I had to fight Bugsy
Forgot Bugsy was male
Swept Bugsy's team
Ur mom attempted to evolve, but I tried to prevent it
For some reason pressing B didnt work
Had to restart from catching Woopong!
had to stop bc of sis
 
Its time!

I started my adventure!

- Started a new game and named my character Ultima.
- Got the poke-gear
- Went outside and decided to get my first Pokemon, cyndaquil.
- Went to Cherrygrove City.
- Talked to the old man.
- Got a town map.
- Headed to Mr. Pokemon's house
- Got the egg.
- Saved, then turn off.

I'll put the next updates later.
 
~August 5th, 2009~

-Went to the Goldenrod Underground and fought the trainers there
-Headed out to Route 35 again; fought the rest of the trainers there (or so I thought... turns out I missed one)
-Fought the two policemen standing guard at the National Park Gate and the Daycare
-Fought the trainers in National Park
-Fought the trainers on Route 36
-Got the mail-carrying Spearow from that guard in Goldenrod's north gate
-Took a LONG hike out to Route 31 to deliver the mail
-Received TM50, Nightmare, as my rather crummy reward (I don't think any of my main team Pokemon can even learn it)
-On the way back to Goldenrod, stopped at the Ruins of Alph to do that Kabuto puzzle
-Eventually made it back to Goldenrod City, went to fight one trainer I missed on Route 35
-Went to the Goldenrod City Gym, saved the game there

Also, I will be using the following restriction (from the list of optional restrictions) from now on in my game:
-Don't keep your main team Pokemon more than 2 levels apart from each other at any time
I've actually been doing my best to follow this from the beginning of the game, but I've decided to make it an official restriction to my game file now.

Restarted training with Ekans...decided to get everstone, as growlithe requires firestone and I can clone another everstone for bellsprout.

Saved and closed so I could get a drink...when I got back my VBA did not have any options so it could not load. I think I am cursed.

But, the status I can still give....

:D I made banners because they are fun to make...except the program I was using kept on closing out right when I finished so the ekans is a 3rd draft, the growlithe a second draft, and bellsprout is the 8th or 9th attempt...every other time the thing closed out. That is why I think I am cursed

EDIT: NEVERMIND! I can load now...but I still have no option bar...

for some reason I cant clone...
Finally got Ur mom(im going to change the name to coilz in goldenrod)to level 15

Cleared out slowpoke well
Plowed through Bugsys underlings
Decided to train everyone to level 22 before fighting bugsy
Saved then stoped playing
Bellsprout got to 21...Ekans was at 21, and Cleo as 17

This challenge is really getting on my nerves, because my game is super glitchy with its "oh ima mess up your saves!"

Got Ekans to learn bite again so thats nice
Decided to beat bugsy and THEN go on major training sprees
Destroyed Bugsy and his gym (again)
Wrecked my Rival (again)
Got Cut (AGAIN) and taught it to bellsprout
Got Headbutt and taught it to Ekans
Got to Goldenrod(and just realized how small Johto is...)
Level Grinded to get Ekans to level 27 :D
Decided to stop for right now

Here's my progress after my first two-hour play session:

-acquired Cyndaquil and nicknamed it NOISOLHPYT
-ran errands for Elm, getting Map card along the way
-fought ??? and later named him something PC's censor system would delete from my post. :P
-caught a female sentret and nicknamed her TERRUF
-waited ten minutes for night to come because I overestimated how long the previous events would take when setting the time
-caught a female hoothoot and nicknamed her LWOTCON
-arrived in violet city
-caught a Bellsprout and traded him for Rocky. I then put Rocky in the PC to rot.
-sailed through the Sprout tower
-owned Falkner/acquired Zephyrbadge
-made it through Union Cave...barely. This team has a significant weakness to rock pokemon this early on. NOISOLHPYT evolved into a Quilava in the tunnel.
-Arrived in Azalea Town
-sailed through the Slowpoke Well event. TERRUF evolved into a Furret in the cave.
-Owned Bugsy/acquired Hivebadge
-Fight and defeat ******* and then procede to find the lost Farfetch'd
-Caught a random Oddish in the forest and nicknamed it HMSLAVE/taught it Cut and Flash
-Taught NOISOLHPYT Headbutt and caught a random Pineco. I won't use it for the challenge, but I'm planning something for it after this challenge is done. :P
-Mystery Egg hatched into TOgepi. Togepi gets thrown into PC to rot.
-Acquire egg from Daycare lady.
-arrive in Goldenrod city
-acquire Radio Card and Coin Case
-squandered all my money on the game corner.
-beat Whitney on my fifth try. (I hate that Miltank...I hate it alot...) and earn Plainbadge
-Agreed to do random dude a favor after he gives us his Spearow named Kenya. I throw Kenya in the PC never to be seen again.
-participated in a bug catching contest, admittedly just to give NOISOLHPYT a couple of easy level-ups. I caught a lv.15 buttefree that didn't win me anything, so I decided to release it...worthless butterfree. >_>
-talked to that girl by the sudowoodo
-got Watering can in Goldenrod City, also grabbed the TMs for Firepunch, Icepunch, and Thunderpunch from the Dept. Store and taight them to TERRUF. I also used the Dig TM from the National Park on TERRUF.
-fight and capture Sudowoodo, but he gets sent to the PC for now.
-Arrive in Ecruteak City
-explore Burnt Tower and Fight ******* again. i'm stupid enough to fall int oa hole. >_<
-Raokou, Entei, and suicune wake up and run away.
-Teach LWOTCON Mud Slap because I thought it would be good against the Ghost-type pokemon in the Gym.
-Beat Morty on my third try (His Gengar was being a jerk with using Hypnosis/Dream Eater on me)
-Egg hatches into shiny Cleffa. How cute...but you're still going to rot away in my PC. >:O
-Saved inside the Kimono Girl theater.

funny sidenote: HMSLAVE, when switched in at the end of one of my failed battles against Whitney, was actually able to dodge Miltank's rollout that turn and land a critical hit with Cut, but that was all meaningless as HMSLAVE fell to a Stomp on the next turn. XD

-Encountered all Legendary dogs so I can track 'em later.

-Caught Pinsir, used as Hm slave @ Rocksmash,Strength,Cut
-Caught Matine, used as Hm slave @ Surf,Whirpool,Waterfall
-Caught Noctowl, used as Hm slave @ Fly
-Caught Sudowoodo; Left in daycare.
-Caught Shiny Gyarados; Left in daycare.
-Surfed to Kanto.

Session #2:
-beat the five kimono girls/acquired HM03 Surf
-left Ecruteak city
-arrived in Olivine city
-acquired HM04 Surf and the good rod
-fished up a random Staryu and caught it. Named it HMSLAVE and taught it to Surf.
-cleared out the trainers in the Lighthouse
-went surfing, destroying every wild Tentacool/Tentacruel I met.
-Arrived in Cianwood City
-Grabbed the Secretpotion from the pharmacy and then battled Eusine
-Acquired the Event Shuckle, but threw him in the PC
-realized I needed Strength to get through the Cianwood gym, so I taught it to my Quilava, NOISILHPYT figuring that he won't be in any real competitive battles.
-Beat Chuck effortlessly and received Stormbadge
-received HM02 Fly from chuck's wife and taight it to my Noctowl, LWOTCON.
-Flew back to Olivine city and delivered the Secretpotion
-Beat Jasmine easily and acquired the Mineralbadge
-Returned to Ecruteak City to pass through
-arrived in Mahogany town
-treked north to the Lake of Rage.
-captured the Red Gyrados for the fun of it, and then threw him in the PC
-cleared Team Rocket out of their hideout, capturing one of the Electrodes attached to the generator.(I was on my last pokemon and it knew Selfdestruct, I wanted a way to end the battle without risk >_>)
-acquired HM06 Whirlpool and taught it to HMSLAVE (Staryu)
-Beat Pryce effortlessly adn acquired Glacierbadge
-flew to Goldenrod City to beat Team Rocket at the Radio tower
-NOISOLHPYT evolved into a real Typhlosion
-Traveled to the Underground, beating my rival, *******, along the way.
-saved the Radio Tower director
-returned to the Radio Tower to save the day.
-received Crystal Bell
-Flew to Ecruteak City to fight and capture Suicune. I then threw him in the PC. :P
-Flew back to Mahogany town and saved at the west end of Rt.44.
