2nd Gen G/S/C Rival=Giovanni's Kid?

    In FR/LG, on the rocket warehouse on 5 Island, a scientist mentions that Giovanni's kid has red hair. I know that any person in the pokeverse who has red hair can be Gio's kid, but the GSC Rival has red-hair and he has rocket-like tendencys. The GSC Rival often wanted to defeat Team Rocket, was that because he had a bad childhood? Or perhaps by defeating them, he could find out the whereabouts of his father, who was in secret training during G/S/C. What do you think of my theory?
     
    ^ Thanks, the thought had occurred to me almost instantly after talking to that scientist in FR.

    not Nintendo...Game Freak has more control over the storyline of pok?mon games...I hate having to clarify that repeatedly...
     
    Who cares who the G/S/C rival is. You must have a lot of time on your hands trying to come up with some bogus stuff like that lol.
     
    But the scientist only says Giovanni has a red haired kid.
    It can be anybody with red hair.

    But even after saying this, I think your theory can be possible... the G/S/C rivals motives for stealing the Pokemon from the lab is still unknown.
     
    i've seen this type of thread on another forum site (pokemon UK to be exact) and i have another theory for giovanni's son: Lance. It sounds farfetch'd (LOL) but in G/S/C, Lance was fighting TR with you at Mahogany town. He might have saw his father's evil ways and decided to go onto the side of good. I know other famous people have fought TR as well like Lorelei, but this is my crazy idea.
     
    Yeah I heard this theory on other forums too and spoony (as I call the rival in G/S/C) is definitely giovanni's son.
     
    Lance?

    Theory #1
    Lance could have been abandon as a child because of Giovanni.......

    Theory #2
    Giovanni could have left Lance and his mother for Team Rocket

    Theory #3
    Lance is Giovanni's long lost son!

    This sound's like another Star Wars movie..........
     
    Would you believe I've never heard any of that, but I'm definately in love with all the theories. I couldn't have come up with that if I wanted to, but yes, these are great theories.

    Edit: About Rival being Giovanni's kid I meant.
     
    I think you may be on to something. If it were just any old person with red hair, the game designers probably wouldn't have made that person be so specific; they probably would have just said 'Giovanni has a kid' or something like that. Maybe not even said it at all. And if Silver/Kamon is Giovanni's son in the manga, chances are they're touching upon it in the game as well.

    If they ever do a remake of GSC (which I think is unlikely at this point but I'm still hoping for it) I hope they touch upon this even more. I guess that probably has something to do with the fact that he's my favorite rival character, though XD.

    Hmm, tch, yar rival in G/S/C does say something 'bout fighting Lance an' losing ta him in that underground HQ in Mahogany, but he doesn't seem like he's supportin' tha Rockets ta me. o_O

    actully i kanda agree with those theory cause i saw an episode when lance was in a team rocket to spy on team rockets. so probably he knows giovani is his fATHER cause why else would he know the rockets.

    Well both theories seem like possible though the rival idea comes more closer to me...
    Anyways whatever...
