[Spoilers] Gah! What are those guys up to?

    Okay, so as most of you who have been watching Best Wishes will know, Team Rocket and Team Plasma have been up to no good. There was going to be the Team Rocket V Team Plasma episodes that were going to shed some light to us, but because of the earthquake they were delayed, and we've been left with our heads in the sand again.

    Now, this thread is just for some fun speculation of what we think they're planning.

    Lets take a look at this preview;

    Now from it we do notice most of this revolving around a fight over the meteorite, now why? We don't know. There has been a lot of speculation over Genesect, due to some of the purple lights, maybe Team Plasma use the Meteorite to modify Genesect (following the games) but then there is also some speculation revolving around Mewtwo, which I think is worth mentioning, seeing as it's been given a new move this generation, Pokémon Smash episode centering and it's part of the new Japanese TGC set. I could Mewtwo fitting in somewhere, but still I think a lot of people would still disagree with me on that it may be a little unlikely?
     
    Genesect? But...What about Reshiram and Zekrom? That's their main motif in the game at least. Speaking of Genesect, he looks like the Unova version "Mewtwo", so he'll probably be starring in a movie just like mewtwo, their background story also tends to be the same.
     
    Hmmm, I don't think Mewtwo is likely to come up... I know it's been given a new move and all, but they're really tried to make this season different to all the others...
     
    I don't see why they would need to include Mewtwo in this. Or why the heck it would fight for TR behalf after it clearly demonstrated it wanted nothing to do with the organization.

    I am more inclined to say it's Genesect, I dunno if they explicitly said it was a meteorite or not but they could be trying to revive Genesect Fossil since it is said to be an ancient pokemon revived and modified by Plasma. So at the end of the day I see them getting Genesect if that is the case and this is what it is. Mewtwos appearance would seem to be on it's own behave or to prove its abilities even farther(who knows I'm sure if they writers will it then it will be done).

    At this point I see this having nothing to do with the Tao Duo(Trio if you include Kyurem) it didn't look like the Dark or Light Stone.

    If you look at 0:33 in the preview, the narrator actually says to word meteorite, including the actual meteorite.

    I wouldn't rule out any Mewtwo appearence. I'd like to see it again anyway, theres potential for an appearence, thats very, very obvious. Although, we know Mewtwo doesn't want anything to do with TR, they want Mewtwo, even thought their memories were wiped, there is still potential for a good story.

    I can't really see Reshiram or Zekrom tying in to whats been doing on so far, but I guess I can see them getting involved in the story sooner or later.

    Who wouldn't want to see Genesect battle Mewtwo?
     
    From what I remember there was some back story of Kyurem falling to earth as meteor(but it was located at Giant Chasm). They can still make it into Genesect, but from the dex says it's from a fossil.

    I just think it's funny how TR is more involved in this then the regional team is.
     
    Whose to say they wouldn't show Genesect late in the show vs. Mewtwo? They don't necessary have to break this trend(that is if this was a trend) to make this happen. And even if they did trends are broken here and there from time to time anyways. And there is a problem with this Ho-oh episode 1 anyone, Lugia appears before the legendary beasts, Lati@s duo appear before Regis, Manaphy appears before appear before Creation Trio, Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia. So there really wasn't a trend here to begin with.

    I would say it's a fight over Genesect. I mean, they are really trying to make Unova with little to almost no Pokemon from other regions(besides the Umbreon). I don't think they would make a episode mainly focusing on Mewtwo when really, the main focus should be on Pokemon from the Unova region. I'm not sure they're gonna bring back Mewtwo any time in the Unova region. I think they got over it.

    I'm hoping it really is a fight over Genesect, like it gets ressurrected from that meteorite. I think Genesect is purrty cool lookin' chap! :D
