Suggestion: Game Developement

I think it will be good if there will be two new sub-forums at Game Developement. The first sub-forum for finished games and the second sub-forum for unfinished games. This will make the navigation in that forum easier! What do you think?

I agree with you there, a lot of the games in the showcase section are nowhere near finished and many don't even have a demo available. It really stinks to read through an entire first post and get excited about a cool-looking game, only to find out the game is still progressing towards it's first stage.

Splitting them up would probably take a while, but would make navigation and finding completed games so much easier.

You could also put a prefix on each thread. [Finished] [Beta] [Alpha] and [In Progress]

There's only been about 4 finished games posted in the history of the game development section. So there's no point. The showcase holds games with the most progress.

I agree. Finished games in one sub forum and work in progress on other sub forum.

Do you really think we need a whole new sub-forum for two threads? One of them being past the revival stage? It's nonsensical. Visit The Showcase for games furthest in line to completion.

Since more completed games are bound to appear may I suggest a stickied "completed game" archive thread?

I don't think even two completed games suffice to have an archive thread unless the thread could be changed to a more of a 'games archive' thread. This thread will have links to PC games with most progress, just starting, in development, completed, with demos, etc.

And if you know CSS you could probably alphabetize all of them and make a cute little progress bar to each of them <3

I'm working on compiling all the threads with playable downloads. Well I was, then megaupload went down meaning I have to retrace my steps and chop any dead links.
