This discussion has gotten to the point where it's too controversial, even for me.
Hall Of Famer, you're too sensitive and your comments are pissing everyone off, including me. You also don't need to be my personal nanny every time I say something controversial. I can take care of myself. I will say a lot of things that will spark up huge debate; get used to it.
PokemonOI, let's just agree to disagree. I don't feel like starting any fights.
Anyway, I didn't mean to talk about one huge community project, as most people think. I merely think more people should work together. There are a lot of game developers in PokéCommunity with a wide variety of talents. Instead of having 2000 games that will never get finished, I think we should have maybe 50 good-quality games that are the combined work of many different talented developers. That way people would be able to retain their own individual ideas and still have a large supply of resources and features. I'm not sure how many times (or how many different ways) I need to explain this until people accept this as an open suggestion and not a whiny cry of approval.
One person brought up the mapping issue. That's why you can only have 2-3 people who agree to using the same style/tileset/proportions/etc. map out one region in its entirety. However, if you have a 3-region game and 3 mappers in each region, then the work just gets that much easier and quality improves greatly. Similar things can be said about things like game music.
To everyone: I know I'm a controversial person and a lot of things I say will either upset you or start a violent rage. There is no reason to think such disagreements are a bad thing because amazing things can happen if you can compromise each other's ideas into something truly great.
These are all ideas that I'm throwing out there. I don't mean to actually automatically shut down most of the projects just because of the issues I have brought up; I just want people to consider another viewpoint.
