you got a game idea? post it here and i will try and contact the pokemon company itself and see if they will make it reality.

here is my idea (it is not really a game idea)

some people like the new DS pokemon games but some people like the GBA games best, so , why not create a DS game card that contains a GBA or GB pokemon game of your choice at the beginning. this lets you copy the saved file of the pokemon game in the GBA game slot onto the same game on the DS pokemon card.
the start menu when you first play the game will be like this:
select a pokemon game below
pokemon firered
pokemon leafgreen
pokemon ruby
pokemon saphire
pokemon emerald
pokemon gold
pokemon silver
pokemon crystal
pokemon yellow
pokemon red
pokemon blue

next screen:
new game
options- (1) frame: {selected frame} (2) text speed: {selected text speed} (3) graphics level: {selected graphics level}
copy saved data-would you like to copy saved data from pokemon { selected game version}?-yes/no-copying data. please wait...-copy complete. would you like to play the game now? yes/no-game

after you select a game on the main menu, it will ask you if you want to copy the game file and if you select "yes" it will ask you to insert the selected game into the GBA slot and wait for the saved file to finish being copied. after you have chosen one of the games, you cannot play on another one of the games unless you delete the current file.


it also comes with various upgrades. here are some of them:

sinnoh pokemon availible and addable to the pokedex

go to other regions and play that region's storyline, including sinnoh (platinum storyline for sinnoh region), johto, orange islands and the battle frontier (emerald storyline for hoenn region) after defeating the elite four and champion in standard region. once you have begun the storyline in another region, you cannot leave the region until you have deafeated the elite four and champion in that region. for battle frontier, deafeat all frontier brains. when you go to another region, the pokemon with you and in your PC will stay in the region that they were caught in. after defeating the elite four and champion in a region, your pokemon from other regions become availible in the PC in that region.

better graphics ( 3D graphics like on diamond, pearl and platinum)

DS pokemon game compatible.

go underground (each region has it's own underground. can have one secret base in every region's underground)

new trainer card style
for new trainer card style picture , the same place as scorporam's picture.

can customize your character's appearence.

two new legendary pokemon:

hyper beam
solar explostion: half of you're foe's pokemon instantly faint and cannot be revived. this wove will always hit.
earth's birth: all of you're fainted pokemon are restored to full health and pp restored
solarbeam
ability:immortality (instantly heals all injured pokemon in you're party when not)

shadowon
lvl:70
type: dark,ghost
moves:
shadow claw
posses: causes the foe's pokemon to disobey it's trainer
shadow power: raises the sp.atk stat
dark void


i like to call it "the world of pokemon"

I hate to burst your bubble, but even if you did show your ideas to the Pokémon Company, I'm pretty sure copyright issues would prevent them from utilizing anything. It's why people who work on these sorts of things are forbidden to read fanfiction and the like.

copyright issues? i am allowing them to use these ideas, it is'nt called copyright if you have permission.

Firstly - admins wouldn't have anything to do with what gets made in a Pokemon game - these forums are actually very separate from the group making the games - and as mentioned, the Pokemon companies (Nintendo, Game Freak, etc, etc) are very unlikely to take any fan-made suggests on board like these, I have to say. Firstly, they already have people employed to do that job, and as such, I imagine they already have many an idea on what they will do. Fan ideas... well, finding ideas that everyone agrees on would be hard, and simply, the way games are made don't happen like this, really.

As for the ideas...

First off - memory capabilities. You're suggesting that they put every single Pokemon game made onto the one cartridge - I'm doubtful that that would necessarily fit. (And what of all the non-handheld games either? They would never be able to go on a DS, as they are for a totally different hardware from the DS - just not physically possible). Just because some people like the GBA games best doesn't really cover it, I don 't believe - there's always the case of someone liking older games more than the newer ones as well.

And then there's the fact that this goes against any marketing technique Nintendo have used. Look at the games - all of them - and how they were released, and you'd notice that they were released one set at a time, rather than all at once - and only one new region at a time as well. Nintendo spaced out the game releases so that they could obtain as much profit from the one game being sold, then once most of those sales are exhausted, the move to the next game. Partly why they sell millions of each game. Putting them all into one would attract slightly more sales than a stand-alone game like Platinum and so forth, but in the long run it would hurt sales, and they would ultimately make more money re-releasing games if they wished by themselves (such as via the DSi's shop, if it happens).

See above - a 'super-all-region game', while it might sound great at first, doesn't really when you get down to it. How would you handle levelling (by the third region you'd probably hit level 100 - then what? Only level 100 opponents? =/). Or the memory constraints? And the fact that marketing-wise, this would cost you $$$ in the long run?

Also note - you're mixing stuff in the handheld games with the GCN/Wii games, like Poketopia. But Game Freak made the handhelds, while the GCN/Wii games (Colosseum, XD and PBR) was made by a different company altogether (Genius Sonority), and on a different piece of hardware as well. How would these mix then? The two companies work on different platforms for a start... and the Orange Islands never made the games - that was anime only. And as many would tell you, anime =/= games - different companies making different things in a different medium - stuff like this hasn't mixed, and most probably never will.

Again - mixing completely different games and all is something I don't see happening just like that.

Yeah... according to the people who came up with the concept, and design the new Pokemon, and so forth, they have already come with a thousand or so ideas. And I'm pretty sure that they themselves would make the Pokemon as well, given that it is their work. As for the ones you came up with - what do they look like? Why only 51, when all other generations had more introduced? And the names... well, they don't really have any of the Pokemon, pun-name feel. =/

Basically, I'm sceptical about this - first off, game companies don't just drag out ideas by people, even if they are offered up - they have highly-paid professionals to already do that job. I also pointed out some flaws in your ideas, which possibly shows why they do this. Don't take any offence from this, but it's really just how it works - fan-made Pokemon and stories and ideas and so forth are fine, but to make into an actual game is an entirely different thing altogether.
