There are several modes to explore...
Ferrum League - You take on the role of the main character, with aims to reach the pinnacle of the Ferrum League. As you win your way through, the number of support Pokémon available and the number of selectable stages increases.
The Ferrum League is made up of four Leagues; Chroma, Red, Blue and Green. Each has a rank requirement for participation. You play League Matches to increase your rank and then the top eight trainers in the league compete in a tournament. You need to pass all that to get a rank promotion and continue to the next league.
Single Battle - You can battle against a CPU player in a single fight.
Practice Mode - You can train as much as you like without worrying about time limits or HP. In addition to a Tutorial there is Free Training where you can set your own rules for a practice battle. The Action Dojo allows you to practice moves for each Pokémon and the Combo Dojo introduces powerful combos for each Pokémon and lets you try them out.
Local Battle - Battle locally, either on one console with one player using the TV and the other the GamePad or with two Wii Us connected by a LAN cable.
Online Battle - You can battle online either in Friendly Matches or Ranked Matches. In Ranked Matches you can earn rank points depending on your success and players compete to get the highest rank.
What do you think? Will you play through the single player mode or go straight to battling with friends?
