Talk about fashion themed video games or just games that include fashion here :3

Fashion was a reason i liked animal crossing so much. Collecting shirts and making my own outfits^^

I've wanted to have more fashion exclusive video games in the past too.

Monster Hunter, pre-World, is my favourite example of a fashion-themed video game...because seriously, Fashion Hunter is a thing. Mixing and matching armour sets is a huge amount of fun, and when you're a little more skilled you can forgo the less optimal sets for stuff that looks good. The way armour skills in World works means that you can mix and match and still have pretty decent skills, but the problem with World is that armour designs are universally shit. In 4U and Gen especially there were so many flashy and just plain awesome pieces of armour to choose from.

Remember, you're only killing monsters so you can make clothing out of their carcasses. Fashion Hunter.

I actually love games that incorporate fashion, because character creation tools are often limited or non-existent, and default outfits get pretty bland even if they're good ones after you've been staring at them for 50+ hours. There is no such thing as "just cosmetics" in video gaming, no matter what developers want you to think as they charge you disgusting sums of money for costumes etc.

I have always loved the ability to be able to customize your character's appearance.

It's also fun, like how Meyneth said, where you can sometimes go for less optimal armor and just use what you like and still do fine in the game. It's like, I could use this more practical but ugly looking armor, but fuck that, I wanna wear this nice dress and kill the boss instead.

But Xenoblade Chronicles X had a really smart idea imo where they had separate "Fashion Gear" slots for your character, so you could equip whatever armor was best for you combat-wise, but also wear whatever outfit you want. too many tank tops tho

I don't think i'd like making clothes out of monsters much, but the posts in this thread were still interesting to read! XD

I own this one fashion game, but it's not that good, sadly. Its on the ds lite. I forget it's name.

Tinkerbell was an awesome game when it came to fashion, though^^ Dresses made from flowers and fruit are adorable to look at X3; I've won it several times. Maybe i'll play again just to play dress up on it sometime.

Also, online dress up games; i've pretty much always enjoyed those. Especially super cutesy ones X3;; Lolita fashion dress up FTW!

I love dressing my characters - if there's an in-depth customization system I could easily spend hours just creating my character. For the actual dressing part, I agree that Animal Crossing is great for that - I loved making my own outfits too. I also really like dressing my characters in Sims.

I spent a lot of time dressing Trevor, Michael and Franklin in GTA5 too lmao, there were just so many clothing/style options. It was new for me since I rarely play male characters, but since there wasn't a choice and their appearances are largely already determined, it was kind of a fun challenge for me to make them look good, especially with Michael and Trevor being these old balding dudes.

i've spent at least 200 hours collecting armor in world of warcraft purely for the sake of fashion

also fashion is the #1 most important thing in the Dark Souls series to me

Your taste in gaming kind of reminds me of my own :D

Though, I mostly just minded playing as boy characters as a kid. But, even as I got older, I mostly played cutesy games. Kirby for the win! (also, kirby's kind of a fashionesta, too, IMO, with all his little hats~^_^)

though, when it came to less 'cute' games, i've always found fighting games pretty fun too~and easy xD
