The old one got locked because of spamming, and Midori has been kind enough to hand me permission to create a new one.

Here's a link to the old thread if you need it: https://www.theud.com/pokecommunity/showthread.php?t=21864

Talk about Gardevoir and its deevolved forms (and newly upcoming Kirlia evolution) is allowed. Basically everything poli said that is allowed in the thread mentioned above is allowed in this one, too.

Let's not try to spam THIS one, mmk? No straying off topic; the commiters of this rule will hearby be ignored for that post for which they have commited this offense.

So, without further ado, let the GFC V2 open!

Oh, and new members are welcome, too. Just state why you want to join this club. And if possible, provide a fanart pic, too! :)

And to start us out, what do you think Eruriedo's moveset should be in D/P, competitively?

Hi can I join this club? Gardevoir is awesome! XD I like using it ingame.
What do you think Eruriedo's moveset should be in D/P, competitively?
XD I didnt even know that Kirlia had a new D/P evo, I'm so getting it now!
    Ok a competitive moveset...
    Leaf Blade
    Blade Test
    Psychic
    Scissor Cross

And here's the D/P sprite of Gardevoir and Erureido:

A bit late on the sprites, but that moveset could be objected; its attack is higher than its special attack, and it may want to have all-out attacks using its blades - I seen a few moves like that.

    Oh, and welcome.

Yo!! Is it possible if I could join this club? Gardevoir is one of my top favorite Pokemon, and i'll try to provide some of my art too.

hello pokenome, I can join right? OH and I'm REAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLY sorry about the other thread, I can't help but feel to blame for getting the other place closed TT.TT

Elraide's move set? OK I have a couple of sets that the AI would probably use...

    Leaf Blade + Brick Break/Dark Blade/Slash + Psycho Cutter + Swords Dance/Bulk Up/In-fight, OR
    Psycho Cutter/Leaf Blade/Dark Blade/Slash + Substitute + Focus Punch + Swords Dance/Bulk Up
Item: Scope Lens (first set) or Shell Bell (2nd set)
    Nature: Adamant or Jolly
Adamant EV: 172 attack, 168 defense (HP if you use Bulk Up), 168 speed
Jolly EV: 252 attack, 252 defense (HP if you use Bulk Up), 6 speed

Well, here's another lame set, not recommended because there are heaps of others can use it as well:
    Substitute + Focus Punch + Toxic + Protect/Dark Blade
    Relaxed/Impish nature, 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Spdef.
    Holding Leftovers.

    Oh, and welcome.

Oh well.. I just made the attacks just by looking at what it can learn. I didnt take account its stats but just chose the moves that looked cool and were high powered. It's an interesting new Pokemon to add to the team.

Aye, yes, the people who joined the last one are welcomed here, too.

But IMO, since smogon would get on yer butt if you disagreed with them, he should be having Leftys.

It makes a good annoyer, too, I didn't notice that! I'd recommend an Electric move or Fire move for Skarmory.

IMO, Skarmory will be out of the OU league, because the evolution of Doom Mirror has only 1 weakness and its special. also both its defenses are pretty high and it learns much more useful moves than Skarmory...

Also, for an attacking pkmn, Shell bell heals more than leftovers - you will be attacking every turn anyway. but for spammers and things like Whailord, leftovers is better, as they won't do much damage anyway.

Greetings! I have returned. I'd also like to take the time to say welcome to the new members!

In other news, I have 50 pages completed in The Final Strike. The rough draft should be complete before the end of November.

I have no data on Eruriedo, except to say that a number of them will have an important role in The Final Strike.

OK back to some random D/P stuff...

Firstly, how the heck do you get a Gardevoir to learn Wish in D/P? It's not an egg move and Ralts/Kirlia learns another move (disables critical hits or something) instead at Lv17... and Gardevoir is supposed to learn Wish at lv17 - WTFness! (For some reason the move relearner doesn't work correctly on stage 2's.)

Secondly, what exactly is that random new move (normal type, 20pp, no damage), which Gardevoir learns at Lv53, supposed to do? I can't read jap but i know it mentions something about Special attack in its description. but when i try to use it in battle it doesnt seem to do anything or always says the move failed. I know its not Flatter and its not Sneasel's move that doubles your spatk because thats dark type...

I can answer the second one! Gardevoir learns Entice at level 53 and it Lowers opposite gender foe's SP.ATT two stages.

dang, these new D/P moves are awesome, I wonder if Erureido has any special new attacks...

Err... you sure it's the right move? Because it translates to something like "provocation" or "allure" so the first move that came into my mind is Flatter.
Well it might explain why the move always fails because I was spamming it on those wild Doom mirrors (and the big bell thingy) and they have no gender.

Anyway, what a useless move for such a pwner to learn at Lv5X... if it doesnt have the first bit, i might spam it along with charm to annoy people, but if it has to be opposite gender, i'd rather use Attract + confuse because that'll be far more annoying... Seriously, even Memento is more useful than that! Use that when your HP is on red so they have to switch and it buys you a free turn. (Destiny bond is the best, meh...)

Greetings! Just wanted to say that I have 66 pages completed in The Final Strike. I've also been doing some image hunting lately. I'll have some links posted for some good Gardevoir, Kirlia and Ralts fan-art soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Erureido's English name is Elblade, correct? Please let me know if there are any particualarly interesting moves for Erureido. My story is moving along and I want to be absolutely sure since Erureidos have an important purpose in the latest installment of my fan-fic series.

Yes I'm sure. You can check the Serebii.net D/P Pokedex if you want. They have everything there but Gardevoir now learns Entice at Lvl 53.

Well, it now stops those annoying-as-heck CM wars with Ala.

Too bad it only works for the opposite gender, now 'Kou is gonna be used more often. :(

Ah... no need for CM wars anymore, because Shadow Ball is a special attack and whoever gets the first move scores a 1HKO... Well, Gardevoir and Hypno's 115 spdef might survive a non-crit hit, though. (I never tested because I never breed full-staters just to beat each other up in link battles, I just steal those full stat battle frontier pokemons and customize their skills.)

    My Diamond (h4x0ring-free game) update:

Yay, I got that cute little BALLOON pokemon!!! (NO, its not that Kirby looking Jiggle-something) And it's type is weird as hell - GHOST + FLYING... 3 immunities + 3 resistances are pretty good though.
IMO he's just a remake of Whailord with heaps of HP and weak defenses, but his HP is a little lower than Whailord and defenses/speed are a little higher. The basic form of the balloon only shows up at the windmills on Fridays morning/daytime.

And my Doom Mirror evolved into that weird looking bell thingy... all its stats except speed (which is sh!tty) are pretty good, and it has no weakness other than fire.

Yes, but then we'll need some SpD + natures and EVs to survive Ala's SB. Which is another reason she should get some dang speed already!

Anyway, I've been poking around some art sites and nothing of my interest has shown up - that is, of course, Kirbster on deviantart...

Meh, who cares about speed... for some reason i hate going first, unless its against wild ones or a guaranteed 1HKO (unlikely in-game, because you dont have access to most good TM's until after E4). Otherwise I always choose -speed natures like Brave and Relaxed.

Also, Alakazam isn't as much problem as Gengar now, the reason is self explanatory, plus that you can catch Gengars wild in the ghost house (WTFness, wild stage 2 evolutions???).

Anyway i found that in D/P its all about solid defense, because most (like 75%) of the wild enemies and trainers have those fast, strong but fragile pokemons like that black hawk, Floatsel, Kadabra, Murkrow and Sneasel etc...
And unless you VERY CAREFULLY raise your "sweepers" EV's its highly unlikely you'll get to go first against them anyway, because the AI have preset EV distributions on trainers pokemons, mostly 255 speed and 255 in an attack, or 168/168/168 on all offensives (AT/SA/SP) or defensives (HP/DE/SD).

Something I found: there are hardly any wild pokemons that give speed EV's in D/P, i.e. unless you want to fight Zubats and Magic carps over and over again for garbage EXP.

So IMO the best EV distribution for Kirlia in D/P is 168HP, 168 (Special) Attack and 168 Defense on a RELAXED nature. Otherwise just fight whatever you come across and balance its EV like how its supposed to be in-game. Then you can erase the EV in the stats you don't need, like Attack or Special, depending which way it evolves...
