Getting a Friend to Like Anime

I'm saying that Paranoia Agent is only really weird in the later episodes.

In the beginning, it sucks you in, like a superpowered vacuum.

I remember hating the early episodes.
I'd be sitting here going "Oh, wonder what's on next" then that theme music would start playing, and i'd try to hang myself. Not really, but that's how much I dreaded it.
I was younger though. I might enjoy it more now.

It is the one involving the rollerblades and the golden baseball bat, right?

The goal is to NOT drown him with obnoxious weirdness.

That's why I recommended Paranoia Agent. It's not obnoxious, and it's pretty awesome.

It doesn't get weird like that til R2 really and the first few eps are epic and non weird.

I really have no idea. But, my boyfriend made fun of me to no end about being such an anime dork until I forced him to watch Fullmetal Alchemist and he loved it. Now he has agreed to try to watch other anime with me as well. So perhaps Fullmetal Alchemist would be a good start.

I have to agree with paranoia agents but it really depends on what this guy is like. Country music is pretty differant from anime so it could be pretty hard to find something.
As somebody said earlier, a movie is probs more aproppiate, like a ghibli film.
